Mondelez International, the parent company of Nabisco, has redesigned its packaging of "Barnum's Animals" crackers after being pressured by People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals.The group called for the redesign by Mondelez because it protests the use of animals in circuses, and the animal crackers boxes showed animals in cages, the Associated Press reports.The crackers were once named for the Ringling Brothers and Barnum and Bailey circus, but it folded for good after 146 years. MUNCIE, Ind. -- Muncie area hospitals are on the lookout for a woman accused of pretending to be pregnant to gain access to labor and delivery floors.Ball Memorial Hospital reported they are working with police and have alerted all personnel to be on the lookout for the woman.It is unclear at this time if there is any surveillance video of the woman and the hospital would not say whether they have identified her.Ball Memorial Hospital released the following statement Thursday:“While no related criminal activity has taken place or charges have been filed, hospital police, leadership and team members remain vigilant. The safety and the very best care of patients and guests are always the highest priority.”Community Health North Hospital, which delivers the most babies in Indiana, said it’s critical to run regular drills to make sure no one has access to newborns that shouldn’t.“As soon as a baby is delivered we put identification on a baby which does include a security tag,” said Jamie Phillippe, Director of NICU/PICU/Pediatrics at Community Health North. “Here down in delivery they could have anywhere from 70 to 80 moms and babies.”Phillippe said the maternity and newborn ICU units are locked down at all times and no one that isn’t supposed to be down there gets in but when situations like this arise they make sure to share the information with all staff members so everyone is aware and they pay constant attention to video feeds around the building.  1501

MISSION BAY PARK (CNS) - A 36-year-old woman was hit by a car while riding her moped-style scooter in the Mission Bay Park neighborhood, authorities said today.She was cruising south on Ingraham Street around 1 p.m. Saturday when she took the Sunset Cliffs offramp, according to the San Diego Police Department.``A car tried to pass her on the left and collided with her, causing her to lose control,'' Officer Robert Heims said. ``She was ejected from the scooter.''The woman suffered a pelvic fracture, a broken tooth and multiple abrasions, he said. She was taken to a local hospital for treatment of non-life- threatening injuries.Police haven't identified any witnesses. NASHVILLE, Tenn. — A woman's body was found last week in her apartment, where she lived with her four adult children. One of her children told police she may have died two years ago.Metro Nashville Police officials found Laronda Jolly's body in her bed with clothes piled on top of her, and officials say the body was in a significant state of decomposition.The body was discovered by the Davidson County Sheriff's Office when deputies were serving an eviction notice.Jolly lived in the apartment with her four children, all of whom are reportedly intellectually disabled. One of them said Jolly may have been in that position since 2018, according to police officials. The four of them have reportedly been living there since she died.A cause of death has not been determined. Her remains were sent to the medical examiner's office for an autopsy. NASHVILLE, Tenn. - The 65th Nashville Christmas Parade Organizers have announced that Kid Rock will no longer serve as the Grand Marshal of the Nashville Christmas Parade. The organizers have stated that they believe the Grand Marshal should "personify the spirit of Nashville" and therefore, have invited James Shaw Jr. to hold this honor. Shaw became a hero in the community after stopping a shooting at a local Waffle House earlier this year. This news came after Nashville Mayor David Briley announced he may not participate in the city’s Christmas parade if Kid Rock remained the Grand Marshal. The Mayor’s Office issued a statement Friday, saying “if Kid Rock is still the grand marshal tomorrow, the Mayor is inclined not to participate.” Briley’s statement came just hours after Kid Rock’s appearance on “Fox & Friends,” in which he called Joy Behar a “b----.” “God forbid you say something a little bit wrong, you’re a racist, homophobic, Islamophobic, this that and the other.
