Car buyers are noticing fewer 0% APR financing deals for both new and used cars. Why? Edmunds, the online information spot for everything cars, says dealerships are now offering deals to buyers paying in cash. "The better economy is driving interest rates higher, and that's because the fed have elevated interest rates," says Tim Jackson, with the Colorado Automobile Dealers Association. Jackson believes there are always downsides for consumers in a thriving economy, and this is an example. Right now, the average APR is 4.21%. So, if your car cost ,000 and you want to pay it off in 5 years, your monthly payment would roughly be 5. However, if you changed that APR to 0%, your monthly bill would be about 0. That's a savings, which is a significant difference annually. If buying a new car is something you want to do, Jackson says there are a few things you can do to insure the best deal in this economy. First, keep a good credit score. Second, choose the vehicle with the best incentives.  1079

CARLSBAD, Calif. (KGTV) - Wednesday kids tried out for the reboot of Kids Say the Darndest Things during a casting call at Legoland. Some families were selected as they entered or left Legoland, while other families sought out the try-outs.Representatives say hundreds of children were interviewed to see if they are a good fit for the national show, hosted by Tiffany Haddish. The kids, age 4-11, waited in a tent with their parents to be called in. "They come in and let it go and it is just the most hilarious thing ever," Casting Producer Cevin Middleton said. In the tent, we asked a few of the kids random questions and hilarity ensued."I'm funny!!!" Aliyah said. She was very concerned about putting on the microphone for the interview, saying she thought she might get "electrified." When asked where she would go if she could travel anywhere in the world, she said she would go to China for limited edition Shopkins. One little boy jumped into an interview saying emphatically, "I like to fight with them! [You like to fight with dragons?] Yeah, like that little dragon over there," he said pointing."I was the leader of my friends and then when I'm going to leave to somewhere else I picked one of my friends to be the leader of the other girls," seven-year-old Lila said. She and her dad were in town from the Bay Area having fun at Legoland when they found out about the tryouts."[What do you think is the coolest imaginary creature?] Probably a unicorn because they can fly, they can do magic and their poop is ice cream," Xayla said her dad told her unicorns poop ice cream. In all the silliness, there were a few gems, "I like to dance mostly, it calms my nerve down mostly and it helps me with my stress," Ariannah said she stressed about not being able to do something."I want to show other kids that even though you say you can't dance, like you can do it... dance comes from your heart and your passion," she said she dances and helps her sister dance to get through difficult times. The first episode of Kids Say the Darndest Things will air this Fall on ABC. 2082

CAMPO, Calif. — Campo Elementary School students were forced off a school bus after a man stormed onto the bus armed with two knives.Matthew Barker, 37, of Campo, was arrested by the San Diego Sheriff's Department after he boarded the bus packed with students at an apartment complex on Friday around 8:30 a.m., according to Mountain Empire Unified School District superintendent Kathy Granger.Officials said Barker entered the bus and was immediately told by the driver to leave. Barker ignored the driver and continued up the stairs and toward students before the driver got in front of him.As Barker tried to push past the driver, a grandmother of one of the students saw what was happening and got onto the bus to help the driver, officials said. That's when Barker reportedly pulled out a knife and swung at the driver. As the driver and grandmother struggled with Barker, an older student ushered students to the back exit of the school bus and called to nearby parents for help. The students were able to exit out of the bus unharmed.Another good Samaritan then got on the bus, at which point Barker turned the knife on himself, according to the Sheriff's Department. The Samaritan pried the knife away from Barker and pulled him off the bus as deputies arrived.Barker has been charged with felony assault. Authorities are investigating the incident and believes drugs were a factor in the attack. The bus driver and Samaritans were not injured."We take safety very seriously and want to assure you our buses remain a safe form of transportation for getting children to and from school," Granger said in a statement. 1669
