(CNN) -- Could this BE any more exciting? In honor of the 25th anniversary of the television series "Friends," Pottery Barn has released its collection of limited-edition pieces inspired by the show."Friends" fanatics can pretend they're living it up in New York City with furniture and other home décor, starting Tuesday. One of the pieces up for sale is an apothecary table -- although Phoebe may not approve -- that was featured in season 6 of the show. The "Friends" Instagram account teased a picture of the collaboration. The image shows a Central Perk-esque background with two mugs, one with the line "You're my lobster" and the other with a picture of a lobster. It's a reference to Phoebe's belief that lobsters mate for life, so if someone is your lobster, you're meant to be with them forever. If the Pottery Barn collection isn't enough, "Friends" fans can try to score tickets to a pop-up shop in New York City this fall. 939

American Apparel is coming back.Gildan Activewear, the Canadian company that owns the clothing brand, announced on Thursday that it will open a physical American Apparel store in Los Angeles this fall.American Apparel filed for bankruptcy in 2016. This will be the first location to open since May 2017, when Gildan finished liquidating the stores that were still open. Gildan is not planning to open others."We're treating this as a flagship pilot store," said Garry Bell, vice president of corporate marketing and communications for Gildan. He said the store will be "very experiential and very interactive," but did not provide details. The news was reported earlier by Bloomberg. Before the liquidation, American Apparel had 110 stores in the United States and a total of 193 locations worldwide, according to a court filing.Gildan, which also owns the tights brands Peds and Kushyfoot, purchased the American Apparel trademark after the company filed for bankruptcy. Then it relaunched American the brand online in the United States in August 2017.Several retail stores have recently declared bankruptcy as shoppers increasingly move online. Last year, US store closing announcements more than tripled and set a record, according to the retail think tank Fung Global Retail and Technology.Bon-Ton Stores, one of the country's largest department store companies, said in April that it plans to liquidate all 256 of its stores, which include Bon-Ton, Boston Store and Carson's. In March, Toys "R" Us said that it was closing all of its US stores. But American Apparel faced unique challenges. The company, which was known for its racy ads, fired its controversial founder and CEO, Dov Charney, twice in 2014 amid allegations of mismanagement and violations of the company's sexual harassment policies. The 2016 bankruptcy filing noted that "over the last two years, the company lacked a marketing plan and engaged in ad hoc advertising that lacked focus." 2003
(CNN) -- A Michigan lottery winner must share the million windfall with his ex-wife, even though they were in the process of divorcing when he bought the ticket.Richard Zelasko won an million Mega Millions jackpot in July 2013 -- after taxes and fees his prize was ,873,628, according to an opinion issued last week by the Michigan Court of Appeals. The suburban Detroit man and his then-wife, Mary Elizabeth Zelasko, filed for divorce in late 2011. The case had gone to arbitration, and they were waiting for the arbitrator's opinion when Richard Zelasko won the prize. The couple were married in 2004 and have three children. The arbitrator ruled that the ticket was part of the couple's marital assets and awarded million to the wife and divided the rest of their assets, according to the opinion. He said that the "marital property includes all property acquired from the date of marriage until the date of entry of the divorce decree," including property acquired during a separation. The court also cited the arbitrator's opinion that the winning lottery ticket was probably not the first that Richard Zelesko had purchased during the marriage and that "(a)s losses throughout the marriage were incurred jointly, so should winnings be shared jointly."It's true that Zelasko spent to buy the winning ticket; however, "the dollar spent was arguably marital money and, as such, a joint investment," the arbitrator said. The appellate court said it found no errors that would require it to change the award."It's very difficult to overturn an arbitration," said Michael Robbins, who's represented Richard Zelasko since 2015.Robbins told CNN that the couple had been separated since 2009.An attorney for Mary Elizabeth Zelasko told CNN that he would not comment on the case because it is confidential. The couple's divorce was finalized in 2018.Robbins said his client can appeal the ruling and is "considering his options." 1945
(AP) — Native American comic book fans hope a new Marvel anthology by Native artists and writers will jump-start authentic representation in mainstream superhero fare. “Marvel Voices: Indigenous Voices #1” is expected in November during Native American History Month and will revisit some of its Native characters. Marvel says the project was planned long before the nation’s reckoning over racial injustice, which has prompted changes like the Washington NFL team dropping its Redskins mascot. The lead artist for the comic book says the series is correcting a decades-old problem of Native American or Indigenous representation in the medium. 652
