The Singaporean side also supports ASEAN in deepening cooperation with China, and supports proper management of disputes on the South China Sea in the light of the Declaration on the Conduct of Parties in the South China Sea, said the Singaporean prime minister.
"In stark contrast from the 2009 Copenhagen conference, which asked countries to accept a 'top-down agreement', many countries have submitted their own INDC to the UN Framework Convention on Climate Change ahead of the Paris talks, a reason that we should be more optimistic about the outcome," said Yu.
The meeting has consolidated and deepened common political foundation for the peaceful development of cross-Strait relations as both leaders have confirmed the 1992 Consensus, it said.
