(KGTV) - Sheriff’s Deputies and members of the Sexual Assault Felony Enforcement Task Force notified residents of Jacumba Hot Springs and Boulevard Thursday about the placement of a sexually violent predator. Law enforcement officers went door to door in the East San Diego County communities to make neighbors aware that Alan Earl James will be placed into the area on or before April 25. James is scheduled to move to 45612 Old Highway 80 after he is released from Department of State Hospitals Coalinga, sheriff’s officials said in a news release. KANSAS CITY, Mo. —Memorial Day travel may be more difficult in 2018 than it has been in more than a dozen years, according to AAA.The company released its 2018 Memorial Day travel forecast ahead of the holiday known as the informal kickoff to summer.AAA said 2018 will see a near-record number of travelers, with more than 41.5 million people expected to take a trip.That’s nearly 5 percent more than 2017, with an additional 2 million people traveling in planes, trains and cars.According to INRIX, a global transportation analytics company, travel delays could be up to three times longer, becoming especially bad on the Thursday and Friday before the holiday as travelers mix with work-week commuters.Most travelers will take a car to their destination — 36.6 million to be exact. Airlines will see 3.1 million people, and the 1.8 million remaining will take trains, buses and cruise ships.Despite higher gas prices, travelers are still hitting the road. They will pay the most expensive Memorial Day weekend gas prices in four years.One contributing factor to peoples’ willingness to travel despite the price hike could be that airline and rental car costs are expected to dip this Memorial Day weekend, making up for the increased cost.Airfare is down 7 percent in price, and the average daily cost of a rental car is the lowest it’s been in four years.AAA released a list of the top 10 Memorial Day travel destinations, with Orlando at #1. 1463

James Comey, the former FBI director, said he laughed when President Donald Trump suggested he might have to jail journalists to send a message about unauthorized leaks, a memo Comey wrote which was obtained by CNN and other news outlets on Thursday revealed.In a memo dated February 14, 2017, Comey said that Trump complained during an Oval Office meeting about classified information being leaked to the media. Kevin Daly is a fit 62-year-old man who has lived an athletic, healthy lifestyle. That was why it was strange when his stomach continued to grow, despite losing weight. According to WCBS-TV, Daly had to convince his insurance company that his growing stomach was not being caused by drinking suds. Daly convinced his insurance company to allow a CAT scan. The CAT scan had a shocking result. Daly had a 30-pound tumor in his abdominal cavity."I never drank beer,” he told WCBS. “Don’t like it, always been athletic, never had a belly.”Daly had the tumor surgically removed, but the procedure was lengthy, lasting six hours. According to WCBS, the tumor was a low-grade, fatty cancer that had wrapped around an organ. Daly's doctor said that a kidney also had to be removed to ensure the tumor was completely removed. Because the tumor was slow growing, he will not need any sort of radiation or chemotherapy treatment. Daly will continue to be monitored with MRIs as a precautiion.  1035
