A Cape Coral pilot is in jail in a Middle Eastern country which says will not free him unless he pays nearly ,000.Steven Bral is an international pilot who lived in Oman in 2012. While living there, he bought a car and owed ,000, but had to leave the country when he lost his job. Oman law requires all foreign nationals to pay all debt before leaving the country.When Bral was flying from Rwanda to Bahrain, he made a stop in Oman to change planes and was immediately arrested upon landing on March 8."You can't help but just think 'what's going to happen?'" his son, Nolan Bral said."It's a small cell and there's six men in that cell, and they have concrete floor and nothing else. That is where they sleep and eat. They eat in a circle on the floor with their hands," Cheri Bral, Steven's first wife, said.Bral has been ordered to pay ,600 to be released."He does not have that money in savings," Cheri Bral said. "It's too much."Bral's current wife, Shamirah has been able to talk to him on the phone in the middle of the night."I know it's very hard on her, and it's scary," Cheri Bral said.She said guards are trying to move Bral to an even bigger jail."Where you hear about torture and all this other stuff, you just don't know what's going to happen to him," Nolan Bral said.Bral's youngest son, Trevor, is trying to stay hopeful. "I just wouldn't understand or know if I never see him again. A man assaulted his elderly father when he came home from work and found that dinner wasn't ready, police in Pennsylvania claim.Frank Steinetz, 50, of Taylor, Pennsylvania, repeatedly punched his 83-year-old dad in the head and face on Monday night, according to Scranton's Times-Tribune.The newspaper reported that when Steinetz came home at 5:45 p.m. he got mad because his father had not prepared a meal for him.A neighbor called police after hearing screaming from Steinetz's house. The neighbor told officers he could hear Steinetz asking, "Oh, does that hurt?" along with what sounded like a physical assault.Steinetz's father, who was described as "extremely frail" by police, had bruises on his face, arms and leg after the incident, according to the Associated Press."He beat me up," the 83-year-old victim told police, according to The Times-Tribune.Steinetz was arrested on charges of aggravated and simple assault, recklessly endangering another person and harassment. A harsh reality for women’s health is doctors dismissing symptoms, saying they do not need to be taken seriously. The coronavirus pandemic has exacerbated this issue further, according to experts.“Women often get told that it’s hormonal, maybe it’s in their heads and women after a while hear that repeatedly, they start ignoring symptoms and don’t seek the care they need,” Dr. Stacey Rosen, senior VP at the Katz Institute for Women’s Health, said.Historically, there hasn’t been much research in how diseases affect women differently, so doctors may not be aware of certain symptoms in women. Dr. Rosen recommends that women prepare before appointments, look over their health records and find a provider they trust.“If the one you’re working with doesn’t have a good relationship with you, you’re not comfortable, find somebody else. A family who triggered a device at a gender reveal party that allegedly started a wildfire over the weekend in California could be held financially liable for the fire fight.The El Dorado Fire was started Saturday morning in San Bernardino County in Southern California, it has burned more than 10,000 acres and is 16 percent contained as of Tuesday morning.CAL FIRE says the fire was started when a smoke-generating pyrotechnic device was launched at a gender reveal party in a park. The press release from CAL FIRE reads, “Those responsible for starting fires due to negligence or illegal activity can be held financially and criminally responsible.”A spokesman for California’s Department of Forestry and Fire Protection, also known as CAL FIRE, told The Daily Mail the family whose device started the El Dorado Fire could be liable for the entire bill for the destruction.The couple was reportedly still at the park where the fire started when firefighters arrived.“We know how it started because they were still there,” Bennet Milloy with CAL FIRE told The Daily Mail. “That, and the fact that there were surveillance cameras in the park.”Milloy says they could face a variety of criminal charges, which could increase if homes and buildings are destroyed. In addition to the cost of putting the fire out, which could get into the millions of dollars.This is not the first time a gender reveal party has started a wildfire.In 2017, a couple’s party in Arizona sparked a fire that burned around 47,000 acres south of Tucson.
