Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell is proposing a condensed, two-day calendar for opening arguments in President Donald Trump's impeachment trial, ground rules that are raising objections from Democrats on the eve of the landmark proceedings. The Republican leader outlined the process in a four-page resolution that will be voted on as one of the first orders of business when senators convene Tuesday. It also pushes off any votes on witnesses until later in the process, rather than up front, as Democrats had demanded. TAMPA, Fla. — A man arrested on Friday is accused of shooting and killing a Florida couple on Halloween, just days after they welcomed a new baby. Tampa police say Tyrail Kendrick, 26, is facing two first-degree murder charges in the deaths of Stanley Peck and Tia Pittman. Police responded to the 1700 block of West Walnut Street shortly after 7 a.m. on Oct. 31 after receiving a report of shots heard in the area.After arriving, they found Peck and Pittman suffering from gunshot wounds. Peck was pronounced dead at the scene and Pittman was taken to a local hospital where she died from her injuries. 616

Shanann Watts' mother said she knew something terrible had happened to her, even before the Colorado wife and mother was reported missing.Last year, Sandy Rzucek recalled something woke her from her sleep, and she sat up in bed.
