Hours after telling TMZ he wanted to walk his daughter down the aisle, Thomas Markle said he will have heart surgery Wednesday morning and cannot attend Prince Harry and Meghan Markle's wedding, the US-based celebrity news site reported.According to TMZ, Thomas Markle said surgeons will clear blockage in his heart, repair damage and put in a stent.Earlier in the day, Markle told TMZ he wanted to walk his daughter down the aisle as she marries Prince Harry at Saturday's royal wedding."I hate the idea of missing one of the greatest moments in history and walking my daughter down the aisle," he said, according to the first TMZ report.Markle has been involved in controversy since it was revealed he allegedly staged a series of photos captured by an American paparazzo.According to the TMZ report, Markle thinks that staging the photos was "stupid" but not a serious transgression.The first report said Markle was in the hospital after reportedly being treated for a heart attack a week ago.CNN has reached out to Thomas Markle for comment over phone and over email but has yet to receive an answer. In a move that reminded some people of road trips with their parents, a Delta flight turned around and went back to the gate because passengers were not complying with crew instructions.In a statement from Delta Airlines, Flight 1227 from Detroit to Atlanta on July 23 “returned to the gate following two customers who were non-compliant” with the airline's mask policy.The plane had pulled away from the gate and was still on the ground when it turned around. Delta says crew members asked the two passengers to wear a mask, and they did not.At the gate, the two passengers who did not wear a face covering were removed from the flight. The plane then took off for Atlanta as originally planned. 704

(KGTV) - The San Diego County Sheriff’s Department is investigating a residential burglary that happened in the overnight to early hours on Wednesday.The break-in happened at a house on Date Avenue.According to residents someone broke into their house and stole several items while they were asleep. Taryn Williamson, who lives in the home, said the thief must have gone into their room because she noticed her purse, her boyfriend’s phone, and a Nintendo Switch gaming system, were missing.  All were on a table in their bedroom.Her purse had 0 in cash as well as credit cards. (KGTV) - Mayor Serge Dedina delivered the annual State of the City address Monday night.The mayor spoke to a room full of government, community, and business leaders at Burress Auditorium. The address, lasting about 30 minutes, highlighted the cities accomplishments and outlined a vision for the future.“We have one of the safest cities in San Diego County,” Dedina said when discussing the cities crime rate. He also talked about many of the infrastructure projects ahead, as well as affordable housing. The mayor also addressed the elephant in the room at the end of his speech; the ongoing issue of water quality due to Mexican sewage runoff.
