XICHANG, Dec. 6 (Xinhua) -- China successfully launched a new Earth observation satellite from the Xichang Satellite Launch Center in southwest China's Sichuan Province at 11:58 a.m. Sunday (Beijing Time).
Li also attributed the steady recovery of the Chinese economy to parallel efforts to advance reform and opening-up, which energized market entities and unleashed the internal dynamism of the economy.
China will speed up fostering a new development pattern where domestic and foreign markets can boost each other, with the domestic market as the mainstay, and form the new institutions of a higher-level open economy.
Jose Juan Sanchez, president of Brazil's CMA Group; Sergey Kochetkov, first deputy editor-in-chief of Russia's Rossiya Segodnya; Narasimhan Ram, director of The Hindu Publishing Group of India; and Iqbal Surve, executive chairman of Independent Media of South Africa, attended the event as co-chairpersons of the forum. In their speeches, they expressed the hope to further deepen the cooperation among BRICS media, to facilitate the development of the relations among BRICS countries and to help build a better world.
They said that the CPC is a sincere friend of countries in West Asia and North Africa and they are willing to actively exchange governance and development experience with the CPC, so as to further consolidate the profound two-way friendship.
