Google denied President Donald Trump's claim on Wednesday that the search engine promoted President Barack Obama's State of the Union addresses but not his own annual address in January.Trump tweeted a video Wednesday on Twitter that read: "For years, Google promoted President Obama's State of the Union on its homepage. When President Trump took office, Google stopped." It shows the site's homepage on the dates of presidential speeches from 2012 through 2018, highlighting the section of the page where a link would be posted to a YouTube livestream of the speeches.In the video, the links to all of Obama's State of the Union addresses are shown but there are no links to Trump's first address to Congress in February 2017 or his State of the Union address last January. Here's a heartwarming story on a cold winter day.On Thursday afternoon, the Norton Fire Division in Northeast Ohio received a call regarding a dog that had fallen through a layer of ice and into a pond. Within minutes of receiving the call, crews arrived on the scene and jumped into action, Norton Fire Chief Mike Schultz said. "We had no idea what we were getting into until we showed up," Shultz said.Norton firefighters came prepared. As soon as their truck's wheels stopped rolling, firefighter Dwayne Marty jumped in the water after the dog. On the way over, Marty had donned a Mustang Suit, a specially designed jumpsuit for cold water ice rescue. The suit allows a firefighter to crawl over ice with special spikes embedded on it. "Anytime you get into a cold water situation, it can become deadly pretty fast," Schultz said.Marty was able to reach the dog just in time.Assistant Chief Mike Copen and firefighters Josh Lepley, Marcus Council, Brandon Earnsberger and Elliot Dunaye helped pull Marty and the dog back to land with a rope."It's a feel-good story. There is so much ugly stuff we do and see," Marty said. "We train for this all the time, it was unbelievably smooth." The dog's rescue put a smile on the faces of its owners and the rest of the crew.Firefighters were especially thankful everything worked out."The guys have been laughing and carrying on all afternoon," Marty said. 1448

Friends of Jamal Khashoggi, the dissident Saudi journalist killed in disputed circumstances in his country's consulate in Istanbul, have demanded that authorities in Riyadh produce his remains.After nearly three weeks in which it denied anything untoward had happened on in its diplomatic premises in Turkey, Saudi Arabia admitted Khashoggi had died but claimed it was the accidental result of a brawl.Turkish officials privately believe he was dismembered, and Saudi authorities have failed to produce his body or say where they where they believe it to be. All they would admit was that officials engaged in a cover-up.Speaking to reporters outside Saudi Arabia's Istanbul consulate Saturday, Turan Kislakci, the head of the Turkish Arab Media Association and a friend of Khashoggi, called on Saudi Arabia to hand over the journalist's body. "Give us Jamal, so we can have a funeral for him. So that all people who care about him, world leaders, can come here to Istanbul for the funeral," said Kislakci. 1014

GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. - Wendy Marble has found a big positive to all the cans and bottles piling up during the pandemic."I had all these pop cans sitting around, of course from when they shut the machines down, end of March," Marble told FOX 17 News. "And I decided what can I do with them to you know, make something good come out of them."Marble came up with the idea of using the bottle deposit money to donate a check to Mackenzie's Animal Sanctuary."I love animals, I always have," she said. "I just wanted to help them, and it meant something to me to be able to do it."Marble started with the cans she had at home but then decided to also throw the idea out on Facebook.The response was overwhelming."That went crazy. I had people blowing up my phone," she explained. "I had 50,000 cans at my house at one time."That's when Marble enlisted the help of her best friend Tama Allerding; knowing it would take some time for the pair to return all the cans due to daily bottle return limits."When she showed me the cans for the first time I thought I was gonna pass out," recalled Allerding. "Her whole garage was just full."But, it didn't take very long for the money to start adding up.Marble was able to drop off her first check to Mackenzies for just over ,500 dollars."And then I thought, why am I stopping? There are still people that don't want their cans," said Marble."So I got them another thousand and dropped that off."Autumn Russell-Hubert, the General Manager at Mackenzie's, said the money is a big help."Everybody's just stockpiling cans, and for her to go and actually take pop cans in and collect them for Mackenzie's and other rescues, we just thought it was amazing," she said. "Right now with Covid, there's a lot of dogs starting to be relinquished, so that money helps us, help more dogs in need."Marble hasn't slowed down. She's continued to collect cans all over West Michigan, raising money for several other animal rescues."I think probably by the end of November, I will be at [,000 dollars raised]," Marble explained. "It didn't cost me anything other than gas, of course, to pick them up."Marble isn't sure how long that she will be collecting cans, but is passionate about helping animals in need."I'm doing it for the animals, I'm wanting to help," she said. "I really loved being able to help. It made me feel good to be able to do this.
