SAN DIEGO (KGTV) -- Police are searching for a suspect in a Serra Mesa stabbing that left two people in critical condition Saturday night.Officers responded around 7:51 p.m. to a call of a brawl outside of a house party on the 8400 block of Neva Avenue, police said. At least two people were located with stab wounds to the torso.A resident told 10News described hearing people fighting outside his home. SAN DIEGO (KGTV) — On the Fourth of July, San Diego Humane Society veterinarians saw a rare patient admitted: a Bald Eagle.The eagle was brought to the society's Project Wildlife center by SoCal Parrots after it was observed on the ground for a couple of days at Barrett Honor Camp in Alpine.Caregivers haven't said what the prognosis is, but the bird is in the facility's critical care unit. SAN DIEGO (KGTV) - Police are investigating the death of a man discovered in a Barrio Logan alley.A 50-year-old man was found just after 6:30 a.m. Tuesday in the south alley of 1600 Logan Ave. with trauma to his upper torso, according to San Diego Police. Police and first responders rendered medical aid, but the man was pronounced dead at the scene.San Diego Police homicide detectives are investigating the incident. Officers said the man was a homeless person who frequented the area. SAN DIEGO (KGTV) — Police officers saved a parrot from a hot car in Sorrento Valley, as temperatures reached upwards of 120 degrees inside the vehicle.San Diego Police say someone noticed a Macaw parrot in a car in distress at a hotel parking lot in the 11000 block of Vista Sorrento Parkway. A San Diego Humane Society officer responded and tried to break the window, before calling SDPD for assistance.Police broke the window and removed the parrot and rushed it to a veterinarian.A police officer told ABC 10News that the temperature in the car was at least 120 degrees. The bird only had a cup of liquid in a Big Gulp cup and no food.It's a misdemeanor to leave an animal unattended in a hot vehicle.San Diego Humane Society said the parrot is doing okay and the owners have been reached to reclaim the bird."Cars get hot very fast, so we advise never to leave an animal unattended in car, especially when it is warm outside. Even with the windows open, a parked car can quickly become a furnace. If the temperature outside is 80 degrees, the temperature inside your car can quickly climb to 120 degrees. SAN DIEGO (KGTV) - One man is behind bars Saturday after allegedly leading police on a pursuit through North San Diego County, ending at a Riverside County casino.Augustine Robinson was arrested inside Pechanga Casino, after leading deputies on a pursuit that began in San Marcos, according to the San Diego Sheriff's Department.Deputies said Robinson stopped at a Shell gas station at 400 Sycamore Ave. in Vista at about 5:30 a.m. and told the clerk to put an undisclosed amount of money on a pump. The clerk reportedly told Robinson he had to pay for the fuel but Robinson gestured toward his pocket and said, "You should put it on the pump."MAP: Track crime in your neighborhoodThe clerk, thinking Robinson had a weapon, did as he demanded. Robinson also grabbed a drink from a refrigerator before filling his car and leaving, deputies added.Deputies came across Robinson's suspected vehicle and attempted to initiate a traffic stop. A pursuit began and lasted for about 50 minutes, taking deputies through San Marcos, Vista, Escondido, and into Riverside County.The chase ended at Pechanga, where deputies said Robinson fled and was stopped just inside the casino entrance. No injuries were reported.Deputies have booked Robinson in the Vista Detention Facility and charged him with robbery and reckless evading. 1339
