(AP) — An egg has been laid in a nest shared by two bald eagles in Southern California and nature lovers will anxiously watch for the hatching via an online live feed .U.S. Forest Service biologist Robin Eliason said Wednesday that the parents will share incubation duties for the next month or so. Eliason expects the hatchling will arrive in early April.The video feed shows an eagle nestling on the egg Thursday as strong, cold winds blow through the San Bernardino National Forest. A count completed late last year found 11 bald eagles living in the forest east of Los Angeles.The Institute for Wildlife Studies web page has thousands of comments from people watching the feed. Beginning Tuesday, anyone traveling to Hawaii must fill out a "Safe Travels" application, the Hawaiian government announced.In a news release, the government said the health information the travelers provide on the application would be a way for them to protect the health of their residents and visitors during the coronavirus pandemic.The new screening process will also include temperature checks upon arrival and secondary screening for anyone with symptoms or temperatures of 100.4℉ or higher."I am pleased to launch this digital app, which will allow our travelers to provide their required health and travel information before they arrive at the airport," said Gov. David Ige in the press release. "It will also help us keep in contact with those who are required to be in quarantine. This is an important step in preparing to reopen our economy."Currently, the government has visitors fill out two different forms: one for inter-island and trans-pacific travel."This [new] platform provides a one-stop-shop for both types of travelers," the government said.The way it works is that travelers will enter their information and travel plans 24 hours before their flight. They'll then receive a QR code via email, which they will scan at the airport upon arrival.Gov. BOSTON (AP) — Four more parents pleaded guilty on Monday in the college admissions bribery scandal, and a Texas man accused of helping to orchestrate the scheme also agreed to reverse his plea and accept guilt.Parents Douglas Hodge, Michelle Janavs, Manuel Henriquez and Elizabeth Henriquez entered guilty pleas in Boston's federal court Monday after previously pleading not guilty. Each faces charges of money laundering and conspiracy to commit mail and wire fraud.Martin Fox, the president of a private tennis club in Houston, also agreed to plead guilty by Nov. 20 in a deal that prosecutors announced Monday. He is charged with racketeering.Authorities say Fox brokered bribes to help wealthy parents cheat on their children's college entrance exams at a Houston testing site. He's also accused of arranging bribes to get two students admitted to the University of San Diego as recruited athletes, and one student to the University of Texas. He will return the 5,000 he received through the scheme, according to his plea deal.Fifteen other parents previously pleaded guilty as part of plea agreements. Prosecutors agreed to request lighter sentences for those parents since they took responsibility earlier. But the four new parents had no such deals, and they face additional charges of money laundering that could bring weightier sentences.Out of 10 parents sentenced so far, nine have been dealt prison time, with terms ranging from 14 days to five months. Another 15 parents are fighting charges tied to the scheme.
