The Boy Scouts of America on Tuesday said it has referred about 120 allegations of abuse by scout leaders to law enforcement for further investigation, saying it believes victims and that the youth organization is working to identify "additional alleged perpetrators.""We care deeply about all victims of abuse and sincerely apologize to anyone who was harmed during their time in Scouting," the youth organization said in a written statement. The city of Paradise, California is literally being rebuilt from ashes.“November 8th is a day nobody around here will ever forget,” said Rick Carhart, of Cal FIRE Butte County. “The first time I drove through Paradise my impression was It looked more like a bomb went off or a war zone than a fire went through.”The small city in northern California saw the state's biggest and most deadly wildfire ever.Carhart says it cost more than million to fight this inferno, which was named the Camp Fire.“There are still a lot of raw emotions and feelings even among our firefighters,” he said.After firefighters put out the last flames, the Camp Fire had claimed 86 lives and destroyed more than 13,000 houses, including the home of the town mayor. “It’s a sick feeling,” said Paradise Mayor Jody Jones of losing her house to the fire.Jones is one of many that are now building new houses in Paradise. “It’s an arduous process to rebuild,” she said. “We’re really pioneers. Three Decembers ago, a post appeared on Facebook about a restaurant refusing to serve ten of the 35 meals it had prepared for a group of veterans. The 25 who were there, wanted to serve the extra meals to homeless vets.The restaurant, which also goes by the name DJ’s, apparently refused. Since it’s an anniversary month for that post, it was re-shared and from coast to coast people got wind of it. Many, however, decided to not read all of it. They missed the fact that the post was from 2016. Missed the fact that it was directed at DJ’s of Pueblo, Colorado. “Armed” with that lack of knowledge, they decided to come after Gary Rison’s establishment in Clark County.“Even this morning, I responded to more negativity,” Rison said. He referred to an old restaurateur adage about how one negative review can reach 100 people, but one nice review might reach only five people. This had the same kind of impact.
