James Wiseman, the freshman basketball star for the University of Memphis who accepted payment in 2017 from his future college coach for his family's housing, has been suspended for 11 additional games and has been ordered to pay ,500. Wiseman has already missed one game, totally his suspension to 12 games.Collegiate athletes are barred from making money off their name, image and likeness, and universities compensate basketball players with free tuition, room and board. It is unknown if Wiseman will be able to come up with the funds necessary to continue his collegiate career following his suspension. Wiseman's punishment came as a result of his college coach, former NBA star Penny Hardaway, giving Wiseman's family ,500 to help pay for Wiseman's family to move to Memphis. Hardaway was then the coach of an AAU squad in Memphis, and wanted to Wiseman to join his team.A year later in 2018, Hardaway was given the top job at the University of Memphis. But it was Hardaway's past connection to Memphis as a donor that made the payment to Wiseman improper in the eye's of the NCAA. After being ruled ineligible entering the 2019 season, Wiseman sued to be reinstated before the season. A judge issued an injunction, legally forcing Memphis to play Wiseman despite him being ineligible. After playing three games, Wiseman dropped the suit. The NCAA said that Wiseman playing three games despite being ineligible was considered as part of the penalty. "The benefit was impermissible because of Hardaway’s status as a Memphis booster," the NCAA said in a statement. "Hardaway had made donations to the school in the past, including million to help build the Penny Hardaway Athletic Hall of Fame at the school. Boosters cannot provide financial assistance to prospective student-athletes, their family members or friends unless that assistance is generally available to other members of the student body and is not given based on athletics ability."Memphis said that it will appeal the NCAA's decision.The ,500 Wiseman has been ordered to pay will go to a charity.Wiseman is considered one of the top prospects for next year's NBA Draft. 2164

Even parts of Alaska reached 70 degrees on Saturday -- the earliest in the year anywhere in the state has hit that high.But here's hoping the tulips and the sprinkler systems haven't yet made their way back into your yard as temperatures will be falling rapidly across large swaths of the country.By Monday morning temperatures are expected to drop so dramatically that over 20 million people from Arkansas to North Carolina will be under a freeze warning.Northeast likely to experience most dramatic changeCNN meteorologist Michael Guy expects a stunning reversal of temperatures for April 1 -- ranging from 10-20 degrees below average for this time of year.Guy says the most extreme drops are forecast to be in the Northeast, with New York City dropping from Sunday's 65 degree high to a forecast 46 degrees, Boston falling from 70 to 45 degrees and Washington DC from 64 to 45 degrees.The cold snap is due to a strong cold front moving in and the battle between warm versus cold air this time of year, he says.Most people in the Northeast, mid-South and Midwest will see highs in the 40s and the 50s.That means a city like Pittsburgh, after reveling in a high of 67 Saturday, will fall back to earth with temperatures in the upper 30s on Sunday.As the United States wakes up Monday, many of us will be trading out our flip flops for a closed toe and pulling our winter jackets back out of the storage closet.This is only temporary, however, as some part of the South are expected to bounce back to spring by Wednesday with Atlanta seeing temperatures of nearly 80 by next weekend. 1886

LAS VEGAS — A Las Vegas woman is suing the Transportation Security Administration (TSA) after she claims she was forced to strip down and remove a "feminine hygiene product" at a Tulsa, Oklahoma airport.According to the complaint, the woman — who has a metal hip implant — was boarding a flight through TSA pre-check through Tulsa International Airport on Mother's Day. Knowing her hip implant would set off a metal detector, she asked to be screened with a body scanner.After she went through the body scanner, TSA agents informed the woman that she would need to submit to a pat down, which the woman agreed to.During the pat down, the agent discovered a "common feminine hygiene product" that she was wearing under her clothes. She was also told that she would need to be escorted to a private room in order to be "cleared."Once in the room, the woman was told to "clear the area" where she was wearing her feminine hygiene product. It's then that she claims TSA agents told her she would need to take down her pants and underwear.The woman initially objected, but later did remove her clothes after being told by agents that she was required to do so.The TSA never requires passengers to submit themselves to a strip search, according to a statement from the agency.After removing her clothes, the woman says she asked agents for permission to leave four times before she was allowed to leave the room..The woman says she is suffering severe emotional distress and says the search violated her rights.TSA and provided the following statement:"Due to pending litigation, we cannot comment on the specifics of this case. TSA does not conduct strip searches and is committed to ensuring the security of travelers, while treating passengers of all ages with dignity and respect. 1791
