Ramos emphasized the long history of exchanges and close relationship between China and the Philippines in culture and people-to-people communication, adding the fact that Chinese people discovered the Philippines more than 100 years before the Europeans did.
ASEAN and China will continue to strengthen cooperation in the area of connectivity that will bring mutual benefits, including through capacity building and resource mobilization for the Master Plan on ASEAN Connectivity 2025, to explore ways to improve connectivity between both sides by synergizing common priorities identified in the master plan and China's Belt and Road Initiative, and encourage the active involvement of relevant multilateral financial institutions.
Myanmar's Minister of Religious Affairs and Culture Thura U Aung Ko thanked China for the donation, saying that as a traditionally good neighbor, China provided assistance to Myanmar when Myanmar is hit by natural disaster.
The premier recalled that the two sides have always respected, treated equally and supported each other since they established diplomatic ties 55 years ago.
When meeting with U Myint Swe, Zhang said China and Myanmar should maintain close high-level exchanges, enhance mutual trust and deepen practical cooperation in all areas for the sustainable, steady and healthy development of bilateral ties.
