WUHAN, March 29 (Xinhua) -- Central China's Hubei Province has realized complete disposal of its previous medical waste and wastewater, and achieved total treatment of newly-added waste within 24 hours, the provincial ecology and environment department said.

Over the past few days, State Councilor and Foreign Minister Wang Yi had a phone call with Chairperson of the African Union Commission Moussa Faki Mahamat, Assistant Foreign Minister Chen Xiaodong held a group meeting with ambassadors and representatives from more than 20 African countries to discuss the situation of Africans in Guangdong Province with regard to the local COVID-19 response, and China's embassies in African countries were also engaged in active communication with the African side, the spokesperson said.

China stands ready to share its experience with other countries, carry out joint research and development on drugs and vaccines, and offer as much assistance as it can to countries where the disease is spreading, Xi said.

The domestic epidemic prevention and control should be carried out in a precise manner, the meeting said, urging firm, solid and meticulous prevention and control efforts to prevent cross-border COVID-19 transmissions.
