SAN DIEGO (KGTV) — Officials on Sunday released the names of the service members involved with a deadly amphibious assault vehicle training accident off the Southern California coast last week.A total of 16 service members were involved in the AAV accident on July 30, after the vehicle started taking on water while conducting shore-to-ship waterborne operations near San Clemente Island. Both Marines were taken to Scripps Memorial Hospital in critical condition. SAN DIEGO (KGTV) — One person was killed and another was injured after a house party in a south central San Diego neighborhood turned deadly.San Diego Police received reports of gunfire just after midnight Saturday in the area of Julian and Marcy Avenues in Logan Heights. Police on scene said an argument at a party escalated into a shooting. At least two people were hit by gunfire.Crews on scene were captured performing chest compression on one person as they were loaded into an ambulance.A man in his 20s was transported to a nearby hospital, where they were pronounced dead. Another person was injured but refused medical attention, police said. Neither victim has been identified.Police said the suspect fled the scene. SAN DIEGO (KGTV) - New restrictions going into effect Sunday night limit restaurants, wineries and breweries to take out only, making them brace for the next three weeks.The new stay-at-home orders mandated by Governor Gavin Newsom were triggered due to the rapidly increasing number of hospitalizations from the coronavirus.Mike Hess, Chief Brewing Officer at Mike Hess Brewing, estimated this will be the fifth time his breweries have to shut down across San Diego."I've kinda lost track of the dates and times, I know we're just doing what we need to do to keep going," he said.Each time, he's reinvented the business, making hand sanitizer, selling canned beer to go and adding COVID-19 safety measures in order to reopen."This is tough, it's very hard on a business. It's very hard to manage a business that is reliant on a certain amount of cash flow and business operations," Hess said.Starting Monday they'll shut down again. This time he's transforming some of their outdoor seating at their Imperial Beach location into a drive through lane."People can cruise right in to that orange cone barricade, go right around Elm, right back up Ocean and pick up their tacos and beer right out of the back door which is right where the food comes out of the kitchen anyway so it's going to be piping hot," he said.Hess added the North Park location will also have a drive through option. SAN DIEGO (KGTV) -- Padres outfielder Tommy Pham is recovering after being stabbed in the back Sunday night, the team says.According to San Diego Police, Pham was stabbed during an altercation Sunday night.The Padres said Monday that Pham is in “good condition.” He is expected to make a full recovery.“We are aware of the incident last night involving Tommy Pham. He was treated at UC San Diego Health and is currently in good condition. He is expected to make a full recovery. The San Diego Police Department is actively investigating the incident and we will have no further comment at this time,” the Padres said.Pham Monday also thanked the medical staff in charge of his care.“I’d like to thank the incredible medical staff at UC San Diego Health for taking such great care of me last night. SAN DIEGO (KGTV) — More than 0,000 went missing from New Hope Friendship Baptist Church in 2008 and 2010, according to new Sheriff’s Department investigation report Friday.The investigation was an Internal Affairs probe into Lt. Devera Scott. Scott was also the treasurer for New Hope Friendship Baptist Church during the time the money went missing.The report claims Scott admitted to church officials she took the money. However, the church told investigators they did not want to press charges as Scott had promised the church she would it pay it all back through monthly payments, and a portion of her retirement.The church also told investigators they were in the business of forgiveness and did not want to ruin Scott’s career, according to the documents.Investigators also learned that Scott made the church a beneficiary to a 0,000 life insurance and accidental death and dismemberment insurance policy.The internal investigation became public Friday, following the ruling of a San Diego judge. The decision comes after local media, including 10News, sued to keep police unions from blocking departments from releasing records related to officer misconduct.The San Diego Sheriff's Department was not part of the suit and has been releasing cases pursuant to SB1421, according to sheriff's department Lt. Karen Stubkjaer.Scott retired from the sheriff’s department on March 22, 2013, before the investigation into the missing church money was complete according to the documents. No charges were ever made against Scott.Other court filings suggest Scott might have been facing financial problems at the time.10News reached out to the church for comment.
