On Dec. 14, 23 school children and a villager were injured in a knife attack in central China's Henan Province.
The Lingchuan Laoshan Hope Primary School, located in Longchang township in the city of Kaili in southwest China's Guizhou province, was reportedly closed just one year after opening.
The accident happened at around 11:40 p.m. last Saturday when 22 miners were working underground at Furuixiang Coal Mine in Qitaihe City. Twelve of them managed to escape or were later rescued, including four who were found alive five days after the accident.
