AT&T announced this week that its streaming TV service DirecTV Now has increased prices and reduced its offering of channels. When the service launched in late 2016, it was seen as an affordable alternative to cable. For those who signed up for the service in its early days, a monthly fee was good for nearly 100 channels. But the service's launch was plagued by sluggish and inconsistent service. But starting in April, the pricing and number of offerings will change. The cheapest option for DirecTV Now will be the DirecTV Now Max package, which offers 40 channels for a month. For more, consumers get 10 added channels, which includes Cinemax and regional sports networks. DirecTV Now's price increase is part of a trend of streaming services increasing prices. 793
An international airport on the Bahamas' northernmost island was completely underwater on Monday following heavy rain from Hurricane Dorian.Vision shot by Bahamas Member of Parliament Iram Lewis showed a current of water passing the flooded Grand Bahama International Airport."It's very dangerous hurricane as you can see, the wind is pounding, we're still pretty much in harm's way," Lewis says. "We're getting a lot of distress calls. Persons needing rescued, needing to be rescued, but we cannot get to them right now, so we ask persons on higher ground to just hold their positions as best as they can. Find the highest place in their homes, because as it is right now, there's very little the rescue teams can do and if you look, the wind is gusting at about (indistinct) miles an hour, it's just terrible. I am on higher ground. I wish there were more here with me, but of course, it is extremely dangerous. I have never seen anything like this before in my entire life."In another social media post, Lewis said the nation would need "a lot of support" after the Hurricane passes.Lewis added that news and information was "limited."Dorian weakened to a Category 3 hurricane on Tuesday morning as it continued to batter the Bahamas."I pray that God is doing, what only God can, by extending his grace and mercy and by saving lives," Lewis says. "We don't mind the properties, we're just hope that lives will be saved. But as you can tell, we are going to need a lot, a lot of support, after this hurricane is over. And as it is right now we don't even know... we cannot get a weather report, because the television is off. News, information is very limited."The system recorded winds of 185 miles per hour (295 kilometres per hour) when it made landfall on Abaco Island on Sunday. 1797

Barstool Sports founder Dave Portnoy made it clear he has no interest in seeing his employees unionize. On Monday, Portnoy threatened to fire any employee who makes contact with a writer for Live Science about information on unionizing. In a tweet on Monday, Portnoy wrote, "If you work for @barstoolsports and DM this man I will fire you on the spot." This tweet was in response to a tweet from Rafi Letzter who wrote, "If you work for Barstool and want to have a private chat about the unionization process, how little power your boss has to stop you, and how you can leverage that power to make your life better: my DMs are open."According to the National Labor Relations Board, Portnoy's tweet could potentially break labor regulations. One of the examples the labor board lists for potential violations of the law is, "Threatening employees with loss of jobs or benefits if they join or vote for a union or engage in protected concerted activity."Portnoy's tweet has also drawn backlash from Democratic Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez. She responded to Portnoy's tweet. "If you’re a boss tweeting firing threats to employees trying to unionize, you are likely breaking the law &can be sued,in your words, 'on the spot.' ALL workers in the US have the protected freedom to organize for better conditions," she tweeted. The exchange between Portnoy and Ocasio-Cortez even drew the attention from Donald Trump Jr. Picking a fight with 1450
