TAMPA, Fla. — Purely Elizabeth is voluntarily recalling several of its granola products due to possible contamination with plastic, rocks or glass.The recalled products were distributed in stores across the country and via the company's website.The recalled products all contain cashews.The company says no injuries or illnesses have been reported due to the possible contamination.Purely Elizabeth is asking consumers who purchased the products not to consume them and contact the company for a free replacement.The UPC codes on the affected products are printed in black on the bottom of bags of granola and on the bottom of the bars packaging near the nutritional facts panel. SYRACUSE, N.Y. – A 95-year-old woman’s birthday party had to be canceled because of the coronavirus pandemic, but it didn’t stop her family from celebrating the milestone. The Syracuse, New York family had been planning Kathleen Byrne's party for months and relatives from across the country were set to attend the bash, but her health was more important. However, the family couldn’t let Kathleen’s birth go uncelebrated, so they brought the party to her front door and sang her “Happy Birthday” at a safe distance. “We had to keep our distance, but we couldn’t not see our best girl on her birthday!!!” wrote Sara Byrne, one of Kathleen’s granddaughters in an Instagram video that has now gone viral. RIVIERA BEACH, Florida — The FBI said a 59-year-old U.S. Army veteran shot and wounded a doctor Wednesday evening just before a mental health evaluation at the Veterans Affairs Medical Center in Riviera Beach.The shooting happened at approximately 6:20 p.m. local time at the hospital.According to the FBI, 59-year-old double-amputee Larry Ray Bon pulled out a small handgun and opened fire inside the emergency area, striking at least two people.One person was grazed by the bullet, and a doctor was shot in the neck while trying to subdue the shooter. "In between shots, the doctor saw an opportunity to jump on the subject and disarm him. While doing so, he sustained a gunshot wound to his neck, so pretty heroic," said FBI Special Agent Justin Fleck.The doctor, whose name has not been released, was transported to St. Mary's Medical Center. The doctor was treated and later released.The shooter, who officials said is originally from Michigan, has been recently living in the West Palm Beach area. Officials believe Bon may be homeless. The FBI said Bon served in the U.S. Army for a very short period of time, but this incident is not believed to be combat-related. The FBI did not release any information concerning the security measures of the hospital. "He has a criminal history and has had frequent contacts with local police departments," said Fleck.The hospital will remain operational for scheduled appointments and procedures on Thursday.Riviera Beach Police assisted the VA police force.
