Some Florida residents are leaving their cars at gas stations because fuel is running out before Hurricane Dorian arrives in the state.Miami resident Marion Wilkinson Scott told CNN on Friday he saw 12 cars that were left Thursday night at a Chevron on 152nd Street, five at a Mobile station in the Hammocks and two at another Chevron across from his house.He posted on Twitter a picture of one of those cars with a note on the dash: "I live close by. My car is out of gas. Please call me when more arrives!" A phone number was included."My friends have given similar reports from various places in the city. I think a lot of people were in denial about this storm. Now they are a bit panicky," Scott told CNN.He said he tried to top off his own tank at all those stations Thursday but had no luck."There isn't any. We've kept it topped off every night since last week (because Irma was a similar scenario for fuel scarcity two years ago). That ended last night when the stations all ran out of gasoline," he said."As a result, we have one unused car with a tank and another with half a tank. I hope it's enough to last til Tuesday next week. It is difficult to heed warnings when there is no gas at the station and no water in the market. Our tub will be filled."He says his daughters have already excitedly packed their favorite toys in backpacks for the trip across state.They're taking other measures, too. "We are people of faith. Recovering drug users are using exercise to help overcome their addictions through a unique recovery program.“I love it,” Trevor Blose says. “Nothing feels better than getting out and sweating a little bit and showing yourself you can do something maybe you couldn’t do a month ago.” Blose is battling a drinking problem that cost him his freedom. “Unfortunately, because of my actions, I had to go to jail for a little bit,” he says. “There’s nothing as eye opening as seeing the person you think you are being in a place surrounded by people who you don’t think you are.”In an attempt to take control of his life, Blose now surrounds himself with other recovering addicts at The Phoenix in downtown Denver, a self-described “free sober active community,” where the only membership fee is 48 hours of continuous sobriety. “The people here saw value in me before I saw value in myself,” says Andrew Brough, manager of The Phoenix’s Denver chapter. Brough says The Phoenix has help more than 2,600 people at their chapters across the country. He says that the toughest part of this recovery program is taking that first step. “We always say that door weighs a couple thousand pounds the first time you come in here,” Brough says. “But if you can get in here and experience that first Phoenix moment for yourself, it’s going to make a world of difference.”Some healthcare specialists, however, claim exercise alone isn’t enough overcome addiction. They say though being active can help, it’s just part of very complex road to recovery. Instead, counselors advise using exercise in addition to more traditional approaches like medicine, therapy and a 12-step program.“I’d been to multiple rehabs and AA, and I tried everything and it just didn’t work for me,” says member Drew Johnson. Johnson, who has tried various recovery programs available, says exercise is the only thing that’s worked for him. “I was a hardcore opiod addict,” Johnson says. “It started off with prescription pills and then it transformed to IV heroin use.” Johnson says The Phoenix has helped him get a grip on handling addiction. Right now, doctors at the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) are trying to figure out whether people who vape are at a higher risk for severe illness from COVID-19.Currently, vapers and smokers are not in the high-risk category. Doctors say coronavirus is a respiratory disease, which affects the lungs. People who vape or smoke already have weaker lungs. Last year, we saw many teens go to the hospital with lung illnesses associated with vaping.Dr. David Beuther, Chief Medical Information Officer at National Jewish Health says while vapers and smokers are at a greater risk, the risk of developing more severe complications is even greater. “I’d be more worried about you more than normal, but I think anybody that vapes, that inhales anything toxic into their lungs, is putting their lungs at risk, because it probably alters the immune system,” said Dr. Beuther. “It probably causes some irritation. It probably reduces your own lung’s ability to defend itself against this virus.Vaping may also contribute to more infections when people are using the device and exhaling.Dr. Beuther says while we try to stay six feet away from people, someone vaping may blow their cloud further than that and that could increase the risk of spreading the virus.Dr. Beuther encourages people to take this virus seriously and to consider quitting smoking. 1371

Rocky Johnson, a member of WWE's Hall of Fame, former World Tag Team Champion, and father of actor and wrestler Dwayne Johnson, has died at the age of 75, WWE announced. A cause of his death has not been announced.Johnson was inducted into WWE's Hall of Fame in 2008. Johnson debuted in 1964 as a member of National Wrestling Alliance in 1964.
