PERRY HALL, Md. - Baltimore County Police say they have four teenage suspects in custody that are suspected to be involved in the death of an officer. At least one of the suspects is facing murder charges. On Monday around 2 p.m. ET, officer Amy Caprio was killed in the line of duty while investigating suspicious activity in Perry Hall. She was almost a four-year veteran of the force. Tuesday morning, police announced that a 16-year-old Dawnta Anthony Harris was arrested shortly after the death of that officer. Police were called to the scene after a woman said a black Jeep Wrangler was near her home, and three suspicious subjects were walking around. The woman stayed on the phone with a dispatcher and said that the three people had broken in and that an officer was on the ground after confronting the driver of the Jeep. Another witness says they saw the Wrangler drive over Caprio, and then drive away, according to the charging documents.Shortly after, another person called 911 saying that she found the Jeep Wrangler was abandoned nearby. A description of the driver was sent out over the police radio and officers were able to find the driver who was later identified as Harris. Charging documents continue to say that Harris admitted that he was waiting in the driver's seat of the Jeep Wrangler while his other associates were burglarizing the house. He then said he tried to drive away in the Wrangler when he saw Caprio arrive in the area. He tried to flee, but Caprio followed him to a cul-de-sac.Caprio demanded he exit the car. He opened the door slightly, shut it, and then drove toward her. He then admitted leaving the Wrangler where it was later found nearby, according to the documents. Harris has been charged with first-degree murder. A spokesperson with police did say the teenager will be charged as an adult.Baltimore County Police say Harris' associates are in custody and they are all teenage boys. Detectives have verified that the group were involved in burglaries in the area. Officers will be canvassing for property stolen during the burglaries on Tuesday.  2176

(KGTV) - A Pine Valley restaurant owner is defying San Diego County orders to move his restaurant outside, saying he will continue to ignore the purple tier rules to keep his business afloat.When it was announced that San Diego County would move into the more restrictive purple tier, Major’s Diner owner Larry McNamer told ABC 10News he had plans to stay open inside, even though all restaurants are required to move outside completely. He stayed true to his word, operating indoors, saying he still follows social distancing practices, but needs the inside space because his restaurant is only open for breakfast and lunch, and the winter months bring temperatures in the 30s for the mountain community.“They’re saying they wanted us back outside and we said no absolutely not, not going to do it,” said McNamer.RELATED: "We are over it." His boss had asked him to call me and ask where we’re standing on this,” said McNamer.McNamer said he has no plans to close his indoor operations, even if he receives warnings. PALA, Calif. (KGTV) -- A brush fire erupted in the north San Diego County community of Pauma Valley Tuesday afternoon, sending a plume of thick, white smoke into the atmosphere.The fire broke out on the 13800 block of Highway 76 near Pala Road northeast of Escondido around 2:50 p.m. According to Cal Fire, the flames have scorched at least 50 acres.Cal Fire sent an aircraft to help fight the fire. No structures were threatened in the fire. Winds in the area Tuesday could reach 14 miles per hour before winding down later this evening. The humidity, which is currently at 50 percent, should help firefighters fight the blaze. The fire is now 15 percent contained.  740

After a hand recount of nearly 5 million votes in Georgia, Biden maintained a 12,000-vote lead over Trump. The conclusion of the recount means that Biden is the projected winner of the state and its 16 Electoral College votes, according to the Associated Press.Georgia's audit is required by a new state law and wasn’t in response to any suspected problems with the state’s results or an official recount request. If you’re caught, you could pay a fine of up to a thousand dollars and go to jail for up to six months.Thomas Flores says his neighborhood has become a home to wild pigeons. “I can't even come out of my house without having pigeons flying by my head, on my roof, on the street, and the sidewalk - on my lawn,” says Flores.These birds' poop can damage your roof or your air-conditioning unit. Even worse, pigeons and their droppings carry over 60 diseases.When it comes to these nuisance birds, Todd Wagner of a Better Day Pigeon Control has seen it all.“From the roof caving in from so much feces. The gas stations also, I've seen some of them. So much feces the wind and the rain. If it gets a good rain it will blown right over,” says Wagner.He recommends taking these measures to help keep pigeons out.“Don't feed the animals outside, cats and dogs outside they love that food. If you have a spillover on your pool, get something to cover that up," Wagner said.Nearby Henderson, Nevada passed a similar law back in 2011 banning people from feeding pigeons. 1300
