The jury in the trial of former Donald Trump campaign chairman Paul Manafort is likely to end a second straight day of deliberations without a verdict.Jurors debating the 18 charges against Manafort asked Judge T.S. Ellis to end Friday's deliberations at 5 p.m. ET, an indication they may not be near a verdict.Their note to Ellis came shortly after the judge revealed he has received threats during the course of the proceedings and the President called the trial "very sad."Ellis did not disclose details about the threats. The organizers behind Time's Up said they will "stand down" on the red carpet at this weekend's Oscar ceremony.Filmmaker Ava DuVernay, who is one of the leaders of the organization, told members of the press on Thursday that the message of Time's Up is not about wearing black to awards shows and overshadowing the main event. Celebrities wore black at January's Golden Globe Awards to show support for the newly-formed anti-sexual harassment initiative."We are not an awards show protest group," DuVernay said. "So we stand down this time. It's really important that you know that Time's Up is not about the red carpet. The Government Oversight and Audit Committee of the Louisville Metro Council passed an order to investigate Mayor Greg Fischer's handling of the deaths of Breonna Taylor and David McAtee as well as his handling on protesters.The committee passed the order on Tuesday.In a press release, the committee said that the "action and inaction of Fischer's administration" prompted them to open an investigation."Metro Council and the public at large seek to better understand these events and surrounding circumstances by examining the role of, decisions made by, and orders given by any officers of the consolidated local government and any board or commission," the city said in the statement.
