Du Qinglin, vice chairman of the National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference, China's top political advisory body, made the remarks when attending the ninth China-Britain Leadership Forum held on Wednesday and Thursday.
Vice Premier Liu Yandong and Vice Premier Wang Yang, State Councilors Yang Jing and Wang Yong also attended the meeting.
He added that capital flows and volatility in currency markets are always a concern for G20 economies.
"Ten years ago, all our overseas business was conducted in the U.S. dollars and we often did not have RMB clearing banks. It's quite a different scenario now," he said.
China is willing to work with African nations including South Africa to earnestly implement the consensus reached during the Johannesburg Summit of the FOCAC held last December, in a bid to promote win-win cooperation and common development, he added.
