More than 5,000 people could still be missing in Indonesia, following a powerful earthquake that hit the island of Sulawesi last week, officials said on Sunday.Thousands of people are believed to be missing in the towns of Baleroa and Petobo, where rivers of soil swept away entire neighborhoods in the aftermath of a 7.5-magnitude earthquake and ensuing tsunami on September 28.The confirmed death toll from the quake has now reached 1,763, with 265 people missing in central Sulawesi's largest city, Palu, the spokesperson of Indonesia's Disaster Management Agency, Sutopo Purwo Nugroho, told reporters in Jakarta on Sunday.Almost all of the dead have been buried in mass graves. More than 500 spellers will have a chance to compete for the title of Champion at this year's Scripps National Spelling Bee, which is May 29-31 in National Harbor, Maryland.This record number of spellers, 516, comes with the introduction of RSVBee, an invitational program that has created more opportunities for champion spellers to compete in the national finals. France was arrested for aggravated driving while intoxicated and possession of a controlled substance on Sunday night, the Sag Harbor Village Police in New York said.France, the leader of the auto-racing sports governing body, was driving a 2017 Lexus on Main Street at 7:30 p.m. and ran a stop sign, police said. During a traffic stop, it was determined he was operating the vehicle while intoxicated, police said.Police also said he was in possession of oxycodone pills.
