SAN DIEGO (KGTV) - Frustrated business owners are speaking out after a rash of break-ins at local wineries and breweries.Lisa Miller, the co-owner of Koi Zen Cellars in Carmen Mountain Ranch, says her heart sank after she arrived at her winery one morning a few weeks ago."The plant was move to the side and the window was completely shattered. My heart started pounding. I got very anxious," said Miller.Inside, she tasted more anxiety. Police believe the intruder was looking for the cash register, something Miller doesn't have. Instead, the burglar grabbed 40 pieces of consignment jewelry valued at more than ,000."When the detective arrived, he said this has been happening in other wineries and breweries in the area," said Miler.Longship Brewery in Mira Mesa in early April: surveillance video shows a person in a hoodie breaking a window, then crawling through the window. Two days later at the Black Plague Brewery in Oceanside, an intruder wearing a mask and hoodie kicked through a window, slipped in and raced right for the cash drawer, before leaving and driving off in a white Jeep Patriot. Detectives told Miller some 18 breweries and wineries targeted in the past few months. "This makes me really sad, mom-and-pop places put their heart and soul into their business no matter what their business is. SAN DIEGO (KGTV) - Family and friends of a disabled Clairemont woman are making a plea for the arrest of a hit-and-run driver who left her with serious injuries.Last week, a beaming Delores Odom appeared at a surprise party for her 59th birthday. One of the attendees was her friend and neighbor Maritza Gates. "She was so happy that day. It breaks my heart to see her in the hospital now in so much pain," said Gates. On Saturday just before 6:30 p.m., Odom decided to take a walk to grab dinner. She was crossing westbound on Genesee Avenue in the south crosswalk when she was hit by a vehicle that had been going westbound on Derrick Drive and made a left turn to southbound Genesee Avenue, according to police.Odom's daughter Brianna says her mother broke her back in two places. Odom has feeling in her toes, but still faces possible paralysis and requires complicated back surgery. Her recovery and rehabilitation is made more challenging because of a decades-old diagnosis of multiple sclerosis. "There's a special place for people like that. I don't understand how you could hurt someone and then leave them. My mom is one of the nicest people ever. You don't know someone's story when you leave them to die on the street," she said.Police say there is no description of the vehicle and are looking for witnesses. SAN DIEGO (KGTV) — FBI investigators are seeking the public's help in identifying the suspect of a College Area bank robbery Wednesday.The suspect walked into Citibank at 5998 El Cajon Blvd. just after 3 p.m., approached a teller, and verbally demanded cash, according to the FBI.After receiving a sum of cash, the suspect fled on foot.The suspect was described as a Hispanic man in his late 20s to early 30s, with large build and standing about 5-foot 6-inches. He was last seen wearing a black hooded sweatshirt, grey sweatpants, sunglasses, gloves, tennis shoes. SAN DIEGO (KGTV) -- Employees at Sovereign Health in Rancho San Diego tell 10News they have not been paid for weeks.Tracy Hydorn is one of those employees. She wiped away tears, thinking about her piling expenses."I haven't been able to send my son to his prom, buy his yearbook, get tires on my car," Hydorn said. She got emotional as she talked about being able to do "basic paying" of items.Hydorn works at the Sovereign Health facility on Steele Canyon Road. She said her paychecks are five weeks behind."The people that I work with are good people and they're working hard, but the corporation doesn't care at all," Hydorn said.She is not alone. The company has six locations across the country with about 500 employees. Eugene, a driver for Sovereign Health in Florida, said his paychecks are weeks late. He was forced to take on another job as an Uber driver to make money. "I Uber'ed until 5:30 in the morning... and still didn't make enough money to pay my rent," Eugene said.A spokesperson for Sovereign Health told Team 10 payroll issues have been going on throughout the company for six weeks due to a transition to a new vendor. He would not say who that vendor was. They are hoping the situation will be taken care of by early next week and apologized to its employees. Hydorn is trying to hang on, but she is tired of the company's excuses."If anything they had said had been genuine or you could believe it, it would be easier to deal with," she said.  1496

SAN DIEGO (KGTV) — Despite not being on the state's watch list, San Diego County leaders warn it could be a matter of days before the region joins 19 other counties being monitored for rising coronavirus cases.Wednesday, County leaders and health officials mapped out the path that will result in the county avoiding or making California's County Monitoring List.
