COLLIER COUNTY, Florida — Troopers are sharing a video of a wrong way driver on Interstate 75 to highlight the dangers of impaired driving.Florida Highway Patrol's Lt. Greg Bueno shared the video on Twitter Thursday.The video, recorded early Tuesday morning along Alligator Alley, shows a car speed by driving the wrong direction.  The trooper immediately turned around and crossed the median to follow the driver.Shortly after, the trooper sees the wrong way driver making a U-turn, and the trooper crosses the median again to pull the driver over.Lt. COLLEGE STATION, Texas -- Two sororities at Texas A&M University are forced to quarantine after having been exposed to COVID-19.The university announced the activities and members of Kappa Kappa Gamma and Delta Delta Delta are experiencing exposure to the virus.Texas A&M has initiated chapter-wide quarantine and contact tracing for those who live in the sorority houses or elsewhere and were in contact.The chapters have been responsive and are responsibly following required steps to continue operations, according to the university.Students, faculty, or staff who receive a positive diagnosis or believe they have been exposed to a positive case must complete a form through the university's reporting portal.Gatherings have also been restricted to 10 or fewer people.Texas A&M kicked off the fall semester both online and in-person on August 19.This story was first reported by Sydney Isenberg at KXXV in Waco, Texas. 942

CINCINNATI (WCPO) -- Police officers who investigated an apartment building in Cincinnati, Ohio Sunday left "deeply disturbed" by what they saw there: Duct tape, shoelaces and socks that had been used to bind and gag a pair of 4-year-old twin boys in an abusive form of discipline, according to Det. Janette Vaughn."(The officers) just felt so emotionally disturbed by what they saw," Fraternal Order of Police president Sgt. Dan Hils said Monday. "It's so unique and remarkable that it took very veteran, very seasoned, inner-city police officers to say, 'Wow, this is unbelievable.'"The boys' father, 26-year-old James Howell and his 30-year-old girlfriend, Jamie Carver, both stand charged with multiple counts of child endangering and kidnapping. A third adult, 30-year-old Rowdy Warren, was charged with obstructing official business after police discovered he had also been present in the apartment where the abuse took place.The boys were moved to a foster family while their guardians stand trial, Vaughn said."It just makes you wonder what frame of mind they were in," Phil Harris, who works near the scene, said. "Are they on drugs? I just don't understand people that could harm children."According to Hils, officers began collecting donations within the department for the boys.Kidnapping and child endangering are both felony offenses. CORONADO, Calif. (KGTV) -- Navy officials say a helicopter crewman was killed last week in a fuel tank accident at Naval Air Station North Island.Officials say Aircrewman 1st Class Jonathan Clement was taken to the hospital after a fuel tank detached from an HH-60H Seahawk helicopter, striking him and a fellow officer on July 30.The 31-year-old later died at the hospital the following day, according to the Navy Times. The other sailor was treated and released from the hospital after suffering minor injuries, officials say.Both sailors were assigned to the “Firehawks” of North Island-based Helicopter Sea Combat Squadron 85, the Times reported.The Navy Safety Center reported the incident on August 6, but only indicated that the helicopter crew was conducting ‘hot seat” training when the accident happened.Hot seat training is conducted so crews can practice switching out from an aircraft without turning off the engines.Clement was an 11-year Navy veteran originally from Florida. 1003

Cliff Robinson, a former UConn star and longtime top sixth man in the NBA, has died. His death was confirmed by UConn. No cause of death was given, though former Huskies coach Jim Calhoun said Robinson had a stroke 2 1/2 years ago. Nicknamed Uncle Cliffy, Robinson played 18 seasons in the NBA and helped the Portland Trail Blazers reach two NBA Finals. Before that, he was the centerpiece of Calhoun’s early teams at UConn. Robinson was the NBA’s Sixth Man of the Year in 1993 and made his lone All-Star appearance the following year. Cliff Robinson was 53. 566
