It’s part of ongoing efforts to slim down the company’s beverage offerings."This decision was not made lightly and comes at a time when we are focused on delivering on our consumers' wants and needs while driving scaled growth across a total beverage portfolio," a spokesperson said in a statement to CNN.Coca-Cola bought Zico in 2013, but it never seemed to catch on, according to media reports, like competitors have. Among them, Vita Coco has reported sales spiking during the pandemic. In March, some stores reported coconut water, touted as a hangover cure or post-workout recovery, flying off of shelves.Coca-Cola has nearly 500 brands around the world. This summer, they said they hope to cut that number by more than half.The company announced earlier this summer it would discontinue Odwalla smoothie drinks and other “zombie brands,” or those not showing growth.A spokesperson this week told media outlets other brands that are being reconsidered include Diet Coke Feisty Cherry, Coke Life and pulling Hubert’s Lemonade from retail stores. SAN DIEGO (CNS) - A 38-year-old man was stabbed Wednesday morning after confronting a man he saw attempting to break into cars in a Rancho Bernardo parking lot, police said.It happened shortly before 2:10 a.m. near the intersection of Fairlie Road and Bernardo Center Drive, San Diego police Officer Robert Heims said.The 38-year-old man saw a man trying door handles of cars in a parking lot in the area and confronted him, Heims said.They got into an argument before the suspect ran away and the victim chased him, the officer said.The victim caught up to the man and they got into a fight, during which the victim was stabbed at least once, Heims said, adding that the man was taken to a hospital for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries.After the fight, the assailant was last seen running southbound on Bernardo Center Drive.The suspect was described as a 5-foot-10 white man who weighs between 140 and 160 pounds. Samuel and Ronan Peterson will have an interesting story to tell for the rest of their lives, thanks to Daylight Saving Time.The infant twins — born overnight on Nov. 6, 2016 — have a strange twist to their ages because of the time change.According to Cape Cod Healthcare in Massachusetts, Ronan is the older twin despite being born 31 minutes after Samuel.How does that work?According to hospital officials, Samuel was born at 1:39 a.m. Eastern and when his twin Ronan was born 31 minutes later, the clock had reset to 1:10 a.m., instead of being 2:10 a.m., because Daylight Saving Time had come to an end.So, despite technically being 31 minutes younger, Ronan's official time of birth is listed as 29 minutes earlier than Samuel's.One of the hospital's maternity nurses, who has 40 years on the job, said she'd never seen anything like it.Seth Peterson, the boys' father, figured something strange was going to happen due to his wife Emily giving birth on the night of Daylight Saving Time's end."I said earlier that night that they were either going to be born on two different days or the time change was going to come into play," he said, according to Cape Cod Healthcare.Clint Davis is a reporter for the Scripps National Desk. SAN DIEGO — The Saturday after Thanksgiving is normally one when small businesses take center stage, but the Coronavirus has changed everything."We've been in North Park for eight and a half years, and we'd like to try to make it to nine," said Gail Higgins, who owns The Girl Can't Help It vintage shop on Grim Avenue. Higgins says in-store sales are now at about 30 percent, as foot traffic declined amid the pandemic."We give out gloves, if people want to try things on, we make sure everyone has a mask on, we keep the door locked so we can let in a certain amount of people at a time," she said. Normally the Saturday after Thanksgiving - called Small Business Saturday - is one that helps boost sales for mom and pops, with all sorts of pomp and circumstance to welcome the public. This year, the live music, and refreshments that typically line main streets aren't happening."If we want North Park and communities like North Park to be around next year, we have to pull it out this year," said Angela Landsberg, who heads the North Park MaiN Street Association. "We have to come on out to our local shops, shop online and support these small businesses. Keep it local."The association is now helping local retailers beef up their online presence, launching a shop local campaign with an online directory on its webpage, Explore North Park.At North Park's ArtElexia, which specializes in Mexican gifts, art, home decor and gourmet foods, owner Elexia de la Parra says her increased online presence could help for the future."Now when all this comes back to normal, I'll have a really get website," she said. "You just got to keep positive."In that light, Higgins says she has something for any occasion."Come on everybody, get dressed up at home, get dressed up for your next Zoom meeting," she said.
