President Donald Trump tweeted late Tuesday morning that he will "go after" Stormy Daniels and her lawyer, Michael Avenatti, calling the porn star "Horseface."“Federal Judge throws out Stormy Danials (sic) lawsuit versus Trump. She claims she was later threatened to keep quiet about the affair. She also later signed a non-disclosure agreement, saying she would keep quiet in exchange for payment.Daniels claimed that Trump defamed her when he said she lied about being threatened to keep quiet about the affair. Republican Congressman Duncan Hunter won re-election in the 50th Congressional District, despite facing federal charges of campaign fraud. With 100 percent of the precincts reporting, Hunter had just over 54 percent of the vote against Democrat Ammar Campa-Najjar."He's strong on the 2nd Amendment, he's strong on our defense, he's very pro-military," said Dan Summers, a Ramona resident who voted for Hunter and celebrated at his campaign event Tuesday night. Hunter did not make himself available to the media, and in a statement said he looked forward to representing the 50th Congressional District on issues that matter to them."For 10 years, I have consistently and unapologetically focused on rebuilding the military, protecting the border, which includes a border wall, cutting taxes, supporting our veterans, creating small business jobs and economic development, upholding the 2nd Amendment and protecting the sanctity of life," Hunter said in the statement. Hunter's statement did not address the criminal charges, which he and his wife Margaret pleaded not guilty to in Federal Court earlier this year. The two are accused of misusing 0,000 in campaign contributions and falsifying reports. Still, if convicted, there is no rule in the House that Hunter would have to give up his seat. Expulsion requires a two-thirds vote, which would require Republican votes.Political analyst John Dadian says he sees Hunter fighting to keep his seat. "Technically he could still serve, and technically he could still serve from a jail cell," he said. "For example, he were to only get one year he could technically stay in and when he gets out in a year have a year left on his term."Under California law, the governor would have 14 days to set an election date for a vacant House seat. That would happen between 126 and 140 days later, or with the next regular election, if it's within 180 days. The Hunters are due back in court Dec. 3.   2005

Residents in states hit by Hurricane Laura continue the long recovery to restoring their homes and businesses destroyed in the Category 4 storm.The death toll from Hurricane Laura has risen to 19 people across Louisiana and Texas.Power and water outages were widely reported in the hardest-hit areas, and it is expected to take weeks before the outages are restored.One of the places hit by the storm was Orange, Texas. Strong winds destroyed buildings, downed power lines and uprooted trees.Resident Robert Matthews is an employee at Mowers, Tractors Inc. in Orange. Question-and-answer website Quora warned late Monday that hackers gained access to the personal data of as many as 100 million of its users.Quora discovered on Friday that one of its systems had been hacked by "a malicious third party," CEO Adam D'Angelo said in a blog post.The compromised information includes users' names, email addresses and encrypted passwords as well as data from social networks like Facebook (FB) and Twitter (TWTR) if people chose to link them to their Quora accounts.The hackers also obtained details about users' activity on Quora, such as questions, answers, upvotes and downvotes. But anonymously written questions and answers were not affected by the breach."The overwhelming majority of the content accessed was already public on Quora, but the compromise of account and other private information is serious," D'Angelo said.The site is now notifying affected users and logging them out."We believe we've identified the root cause and taken steps to address the issue, although our investigation is ongoing and we'll continue to make security improvements," D'Angelo said.Quora bills itself as "a place where you can ask questions you care about and get answers that are amazing."People can post a question to the platform like "What are some amazing facts about Apple, the company?" or "What is the ultimate sandwich?" — and see what answers other users come up with.The site's data breach is the latest in a series of high-profile hacks. 1493

President Donald Trump’s longtime former attorney Michael Cohen is now featured in an advertisement against the president. In the advertisement, Cohen warns voters that Trump “can’t be trusted.”While Cohen had a privileged glance of the president over the years, his creditability has taken a hit. In 2018, Cohen pleaded guilty to lying to Congress. Cohen admitted he lied about plans to build a Trump Tower in Russia.The former personal lawyer was also actively involved in payments on Trump's behalf to porn star Storm Daniels, which the Southern District of New York investigated for alleged violations of campaign finance. No charges were filed in that case.The ad first ran on Night 1 of the Republican National Convention on Monday, and is sponsored by American Bridge 21st Century, which is backing Trump opponent Joe Biden in the upcoming election.“I was complicit in helping conceal the real Donald Trump. I was part of creating an illusion,” Cohen said"He can't be trusted and you shouldn't believe a word he utters," Cohen added. "So, when you watch the president, this week, remember this. If he says something is huge, it's probably small. If he says something will work, it probably won't.”Beyond the ad, Cohen is becoming a more vocal critic of the president.
