SEOUL, South Korea (AP) — K-pop star and TV celebrity Goo Hara was found dead at her home in Seoul on Sunday, police said.Police said an acquaintance found the 28-year-old dead at her home in southern Seoul and reported it to authorities.The cause of death wasn’t immediately known. Police refused to provide further details.Goo made her debut in 2008 as a member of the girl group Kara, which had big followings in South Korea, Japan and other Asian countries. She later worked as a solo artist and appeared on many TV shows.In May, Goo was reportedly found unconscious at her home and was hospitalized.She was embroiled last year in public disputes with an ex-boyfriend who claimed to be assaulted by her. Goo accused the man of having threatened to circulate a sex video of her. The case made her the subject of tabloid fodder and malicious online messages.In October, another K-pop star and actress, Sulli, was found dead at her home near Seoul. The 25-year-old was known for her feminist voice and outspokenness that was rare among female entertainers in deeply conservative South Korea. SOLANA BEACH, Calif. (KGTV) — Video captured Friday showed another bluff failure in the Solana Beach area, weeks after a series of small bluff collapses.Kelly Nelle captured a small bluff failure at a site that appeared taped off due to a previous bluff collapse. No one was injured.Several parts of Fletcher Cove were taped off in August as sandstone tumbled about 75 feet down to the beach. It isn't clear if Friday's collapse was at the same site, but the area was already taped off and appeared to have a pile of sediment at the base of the cliff side.In late August, Torrey Pines beach goers were warned of bluff collapses after a section fell to the ground. In early August, a massive section of rock fell in Encinitas, killing three people.As temperatures rise and bring more locals out to the coast, officials cautioned visitors to walk 25 - 40 feet away from all bluffs and not to walk around barricades because large rocks could still fall.Video from Friday showed some smaller rocks falling before the larger section fell onto the Solana Beach spot. 1068

Starbucks announced in a press release Tuesday that it will close 8,000 company-owned stores in the United States on May 29 in order to provide its staff with mandatory racial-bias education.The stores will be closed during afternoon hours that day. At that time, employees will be required to attend a training session that will address "implicit bias, promote conscious inclusion, prevent discrimination and ensure everyone inside a Starbucks store feels safe and welcome."The press release states that the program will be developed with "national and local experts on confronting racial bias," along with NAACP officials and former Attorney General Eric Holder.The announcement comes just days after two black men were arrested at a Philadelphia Starbucks. The police were called because the men chose not to order anything. SPRING VALLEY, Calif. (KGTV) – A construction worker was struck by a vehicle and killed along state Route 94 in Spring Valley in a crash the California Highway Patrol said is DUI-related.The collision happened just before 10 p.m. Wednesday on westbound SR-94 near Cougar Canyon Drive, CHP officials said.According to the CHP, the stretch of roadway was “an active construction zone” with the westbound side coned off. A construction worker was directing traffic when a 1996 Lincoln Town Car entered the coned area and hit him, the CHP reported.The worker, identified only as a 27-year-old San Diego resident, was rushed to the hospital but died from his injuries.CHP officials said the Lincoln’s driver, 69-year-old San Diego resident Arnold Lee Patton, was arrested on suspicion of DUI and vehicular manslaughter.Patton was booked into County Jail for felony DUI causing injury or death and gross vehicular manslaughter, the CHP reported.The incident remains under investigation. 988
