ENCINITAS, Calif. (KGTV) -- The San Diego Sheriff's Office is investigating an incident involving Phil Graham, a candidate to represent the 76th district in the California Assembly. Niki Burgan filed the battery case with the Sheriff's Office Sunday, May 20.  She accuses Graham of forcibly kissing her at an Encinitas Bar. Burgan told 10News that it happened at 1st Street Bar on S. Coast Hwy 101 on the evening of Sunday, May 13, into the early morning of Monday, May 14 as the bar was closing. She said that Graham had initially been flirting, even mentioning that he was running for office and asked whether she would vote for him. After finding out that he was a Republican candidate she said, no she was a Democrat. At some point, she says his talk turned into aggression and Graham grabbed her hair, pulled her in, and started to kiss her. She said she had to push him off. Burgan also said she remembers that Graham had so much to drink that night that she had to help him sign his tab. The next morning Burgan says she learned that he was related to former Governor Pete Wilson and she was worried about repercussions. That's why she didn't file right charges right away.  1259

ESCONDIDO, Calif. (KGTV) -- Suspects reportedly forced employees onto the ground and into a vault during a robbery at a credit union in Escondido, according to the FBI. Police were called to the San Diego County Credit Union on the 1800 block of South Center City Parkway just before 10 a.m. after receiving reports of a robbery. After arriving on scene, police confirmed that a takeover-style robbery had occurred. According to the FBI, four men entered the credit union completely covered and armed with weapons. The suspects ordered employees to the ground and forced an employee to go into the vault to retrieve money. After grabbing the cash, the suspects fled the credit union in a late 80 or early 90s suburban, the FBI says. 741

Federal authorities said the man arrested in connection to sending explosive devices to multiple politicians and a media outlet is charged with five federal crimes.Cesar Sayoc, 56, faces 58 years in prison, Attorney General Jeff Sessions said today. Facebook announced today it is removing hundreds of pages and accounts run by people in the U.S. who are spreading misinformation.The social media platform's staff identified 559 pages and 251 accounts, and among those is Right Wing News, which has more than 3 million followers, the New York Times reports. Left-wing pages identified in the group include the Resistance and Reverb Press (816,000 followers).It's the most domestic accounts and pages Facebook has removed, officials with the platform said. They violate the rules about online spam, and are financially motivated, according to the NY Times report.False narratives on social media were once known as something mostly done by Russian-linked operatives. It's now become something created more in the U.S., the Times said.Researchers said it's harder to root out false information that's from the U.S. than foreign countries. ENCINITAS, Calif. (KGTV) -- Video from a witness shows a driver slamming into a crowd outside an Encinitas bar early Sunday morning. In the video, a U-Haul van can be seen accelerating onto a sidewalk. Video shows pedestrians leaping out of the way before the vehicle crashes into the crowd. In a Monday news release, the San Diego County Sheriff's Department said one person is in an intensive care unit while another is undergoing surgery with serious injuries following the crash. The department says a 24-year-old victim is in an intensive care unit while a 25-year-old is in surgery with serious injuries. All three of the victims were struck when the suspect, Christian Davis, 28, reportedly drove the van onto a sidewalk outside The Saloon Bar around 1:30 a.m. Sunday. Two others received minor injuries when they detained Davis outside the bar. Deputies say Davis was asked to leave the bar because he was too intoxicated. After complying with the request, deputies say Davis got into the van, intentionally driving it onto the sidewalk. Davis was later arrested and is being charged with three counts of attempted murder and one count of attempted escape with force. Davis is scheduled to be arraigned in Vista on March 3.
