COLTON, Calif. (KGTV) - At least five people died Friday afternoon in a fiery crash on Interstate 10 in the San Bernardino County community of Rialto, KABC reported.The California Highway Patrol indicated at least three vehicles and two trucks were involved in the crash that left wreckage on both sides of the freeway at Riverside Ave. about 1 p.m.A big rig heading west veered toward the median, crashed through the center divider and burst into flames, KTLA reported. The truck kept moving across eastbound lanes, striking several vehicles.Five people were killed. The truck driver received only minor injuries and another driver was able to walk away from the crash.After a nearly 16-hour shutdown of the highway, all lanes were reopened Saturday morning, KABC said. The cause of the crash is under investigation.Check traffic HERE.  865

CLEVELAND — On Friday, WEWS talked to Len Honacki, a Cleveland man who was waiting on his heart medication after a United States Postal Service delay.“I was a little worried how long I can go without before I call the doctor and say ‘Hey what’s going on and what do I need to do?'” he said.Tracking records show that his medicine had been to Cincinnati, Washington D.C., and Maryland.“The post office had a series of mishaps," he said.When Alicia Rauckhorst, the Northern Ohio marketing manager for USPS, learned of Honacki’s issue, she decided to take matters into her own hands.“Somewhere in there, inadvertently, it got sent to Maryland,” she said. “As soon as it got back, no matter where it was, I was going to let him know.”She called Honacki herself.“She called me just to apologize and she said ‘I will do whatever it takes to find your meds and I would get it to you,’” he said. “When someone says ‘I'll drive to Cincinnati 4 hours and pick it up and bring it 4 hours back.’ To me, I mean, come on, that’s above and beyond.”Luckily, Rauckhorst made sure his meds arrived in Cleveland Saturday night and Sunday morning she made a special delivery.“I went up there and picked up the package called it when I had it in hand and said ‘Hey, I’m on my way to your house to bring you this medicine.’”Honacki was shocked.“She comes to the front door and delivers the mail right to me. CORONADO (KGTV) — New rules go into effect on Thursday, August 16, restricting where people can and can't use e-cigarettes in Coronado.The City Council passed an ordinance on July 17 to make the popular devices subject to the same rules as regular cigarettes, banning their use in many public places.According to the new law, e-cigarettes will no longer be allowed in the following unenclosed areas:1. All public property including, but not limited to, streets, highways, alleys, rights-of-way, parkways, sidewalks, parking lots and pathways; 2. Outdoor public places; 3. Outdoor recreational areas; 4. Outdoor service areas; 5. Outdoor dining areas.An exception has been made for the Municipal Golf Course, where smoking is also allowed.Anyone caught breaking the new rule could be subject to a 0 fine. The city will put up new signs to let people know of the change.Language in the City Council proposition showed that city leaders feared vaping devices and the smoke from them could be dangerous to the public health. They also wanted to eliminate confusion by having different rules for different kinds of smoking.E-cigarette advocates say bans like these are counter-productive.The Consumer Advocates for Smoke-Free Alternatives Association sent a statement to 10News that reads, in part, "Smoking laws that include a ban on vaping send the inaccurate and misleading message that e-cigarettes are just as harmful as smoking. To date, there is no credible scientific evidence to support this claim. Arguably, vaping bans do more harm than good as smokers see switching to smoke-free products as having no advantage over the combustible products they will continue to use." 1712
