CHICAGO (KGTV) -- Police say three people were shot and one person is dead after a shooting at a Starbucks in Chicago Thursday night.According to ABC 7 in Chicago, the shooting happened in the city's Uptown neighborhood at 8:30 p.m. Police say a 12-year-old was transported to the hospital in unknown condition after being shot in the groin. An adult male was shot and took himself to the hospital. And, that's exactly what Walmart is doing today."The game uses a vibrant carpet mat, which allows for two-way putting, has various scoring sections around the green, and includes negative scores for sand and water hazards. And, you can knock your opponents' ball off the course."It's a great educational tool for math for young kids," Storey said. "And, parents now are having to teach their kids and home school and so forth."But, Storey said the game is great for all ages and all skill levels. And, it can get competitive.It's teeing up the fun, just in time for the holidays."Now, (families) have a new game to play, outside your Bocce Ball, or Monopoly, or all these different traditional games," Storey said. CARLSBAD, Calif. (KGTV) -- A 16-year-old girl and a 19-year-old man were arrested in connection with the shooting death of a young man in Carlsbad, police announced Friday.Just before 7:30 p.m. Thursday, police and fire crews were called to the 2300 block of Caringa Way in response to a report of an injured person at an apartment complex.The injured person, an 18-year-old man, was found in the complex’s courtyard with a gunshot wound, police said.Kelly, an apartment resident, told ABC 10News, “I was fixing dinner. I looked out the kitchen window and he was on the ground. I started performing CPR, but it was too late.”The victim was transported to the hospital, where he was pronounced dead. His identity was not released.Following an investigation, Carlsbad police detectives identified two people linked to the man’s death and arrested them.According to police, a 16-year-old girl was booked into Juvenile Hall on suspicion of manslaughter and gross negligent discharge of a firearm.Gerardo Gonzalez, 19, of San Marcos, was booked into Vista Jail on a felony child endangerment charge.No other information was made available as the incident remains under investigation. 1186

Catholic schools in the 39 central and southern Indiana counties that make up the Archdiocese of Indianapolis could deny enrollment to transgender students.As stated in a new policy, the decision would be made on a case-by-case basis."From a personal compassionate standpoint, you're hurting kids now," Belinda Drake said. "This has gone too far."Drake is a part of the LGBTQ community. She's also a candidate for state senate."Our educational system is supposed to be welcoming, it is supposed to be inclusive, it is supposed to provide everyone access," Drake said. "Now our most vulnerable children have to battle this."It's an eight-page document that calls for each decision to be made case-by-case. It notes students who may be confused on their sexuality can be admitted if they follow church teachings."I was heartbroken because at the end of the day they are discriminating against children," Drake said.The change goes on to say that children who have switched from their birth sex in any way may not be admitted."Policies have to include everybody regardless of how you love, how you identify, you still deserve an education," Drake said. CARMEL, Ind. — Hundreds of people from all different faiths gathered at a Carmel synagogue to show their love for the Jewish community after someone left hateful anti-Semitic graffiti on one of their buildings. The ground was burned and swastikas and iron crosses were painted on a shed and garbage bins at Congregation Shaarey Tefilla on Saturday. RELATED: Anti-Semitic graffiti found at Carmel synagogueRabbi Benjamin Sendrow says the graffiti may have been left to evoke fear, but as Monday night's gathering showed, it's had the opposite effect on their community. "(It) triggered an outpouring of love and support that wipes away their action better than bleach and fresh paint," Sendrow said. "All they have done is awaken the sleeping giant of love and acceptance and mutual respect."But in the midst of love, those hateful messages also serve as a reminder that Indiana is one of only five states that doesn't have a hate crime law — something Indiana Gov.
