MILWAUKEE -- A Milwaukee family is devastated by the sudden loss of a young man. 21-year-old Nasir Matthews collapsed and died Tuesday while playing pick-up basketball. Terrell Matthews was there as his cousin and best friend fell to the ground after a game."The second game ended, he went over to the fan, leaned over for a second and he just went out," Matthews said. "Everything started happening so fast."Matthews said at first, everyone thought he was joking around. "After about 30 seconds they all started to see his eyes were just a blank stare," Matthews said.Matthews called 911 as others tried to revive him with a defibrillator at the school. Despite their efforts, Matthews was pronounced dead a short time later."At this point, we don't know why he fell out," said Matthews' aunt Camille Rose. "He didn't have any known medical condition other than an enlarged heart." Rose said this brings another round of grieving for Matthews' younger siblings who can't seem to catch a break. "The kids were all trying to deal with the loss of their mother, their grandmother and basically their father," Rose said.  Through the tears, Matthews looks back at the memories he shared with his cousin. "He was always happy, even through what he's been through," Matthews said.  The tragedy serves as a painful reminder to never take a loved one for granted, no matter their age. Matthews' family is still waiting on autopsy results to find out exactly why he died.  1522

Museums from coast to coast will have free admission on Saturday as part of Smithsonian Magazine's Museum Day Live. Art museums, science centers and other attractions are participating in Saturday's event, which was created to promote STEM programs. In order to take advantage of free admission at museums, tickets are available on Smithsonian Magazine's webpage. Tickets are limited to one person plus a guest per email address. Once you enter your name, email address and select the museum you wish to attend, your ticket will appear on the next screen and be emailed to you. MISSION BAY PARK (CNS) - A 36-year-old woman was hit by a car while riding her moped-style scooter in the Mission Bay Park neighborhood, authorities said today.She was cruising south on Ingraham Street around 1 p.m. Saturday when she took the Sunset Cliffs offramp, according to the San Diego Police Department.``A car tried to pass her on the left and collided with her, causing her to lose control,'' Officer Robert Heims said. ``She was ejected from the scooter.''The woman suffered a pelvic fracture, a broken tooth and multiple abrasions, he said. She was taken to a local hospital for treatment of non-life- threatening injuries.Police haven't identified any witnesses. (KGTV) — Marine Corps Air Station Miramar held an annual mass casualty drill Tuesday ahead of this year's Miramar Air Show.The scenario, centered around an F-35 crashing off the end of the runway into the crowd, included about 20 people playing the part of the injured, complete with fake blood and shrapnel wounds."Getting everybody together is very crucial because one fire department, or one hospital, or one ambulance company cannot handle a large scale incident with a lot of patients," MCAS Miramar Fire Captain Paul Jacobs said.WHAT TO KNOW: MCAS Miramar Air Show 2019The importance is paramount as accidents have happened in the past. In October of 2004, a stunt pilot completed a loop too low and crashed into the flight line, wrecking the plane and ultimately killing the pilot.The base is also set to receive several F-35 aircraft this January.The annual drill helps the base, military personnel, firefighters and local ambulance companies work together and see if there are any weak points.
