China will continue to reduce taxes and fees in the second half of the year as part of its efforts to save costs for enterprises and bolster employment, according to top tax authorities.
China set up the National SME Development Fund in September 2015 to support growing SMEs in the seed and early stages. With the first batch of capital hitting 60 billion yuan, the fund called for the joint participation of private and State-owned enterprises, financial institutions, as well as local governments.
China paid the remaining balance of its contributions to the UN regular budget for the year 2020 on Monday, according to a statement by the Permanent Mission of China to the UN.
China is willing to continue to play a constructive role in the process, the spokesperson stressed.
China supports development of direct financing to reduce costs of enterprises, allowing them to get funds by issuing shares or bonds, rather than from commercial banks.
