BEIJING, Aug. 25 (Xinhua) -- China has proposed solid measures for regional cooperation at the third Lancang-Mekong Cooperation (LMC) leaders' meeting to jointly cope with global challenges including the COVID-19 pandemic.
"We have always abided by the Declaration on the Conduct of Parties in the South China Sea and we are willing to work with ASEAN countries to push forward consultations on the Code of Conduct to reach a code of conduct common to China and ASEAN countries at an early date," the spokesperson said.
The visiting Chinese top diplomat also held talks on Wednesday with Dutch Foreign Minister Stef Blok.
Sun made the remarks on Friday at a teleconference of the State Council joint prevention and control mechanism against COVID-19.
The two sides will also build the Digital Silk Road to strengthen cooperation in the digital economy, Wang said.
