An email sent by a student to the principal and all of the freshmen at Oconomowoc High School prompted a police investigation into possible safety concerns.The email accused a different student of being a threat and mentioned the fictional character Slender Man.Police immediately investigated some of the claims in that email and the district says it determined there is no threat to student safety.The email sent on Wednesday includes many personal details about the student and says the person "...believes she has multiple personalities...is the daughter of slenderman."Slender Man became well-known in 2014, when two girls from Waukesha, Wisconsin — located about a half hour from Oconomowoc — said they stabbed their classmate 19 times to please the character.They both were recently committed to mental health facilities.In addition to mentioning Slender Man, the Oconomowoc student also claimed that this other student "wanted me to join her and two other girls in a cult-like group called the 'Trinity Sisters.'""I didn't find them to be true," said Alexis Zimmerman, a junior at the school.She says she and many other students weren't concerned about what the email said but were more upset that it even went out."I don't think anyone found it as a threat," she said. "It was just, it wasn't something right to say about someone else."Alexis' mother Nicole Gronitz says the school notified parents about the email, but she too wasn't concerned."It really didn't make me think twice about it," she said. An Oregon man was arrested last week and faces multiple criminal charges after attempting to destroy a McDonald's location's "Golden Arches" after he was refused an order of 30 double cheeseburgers. The News-Review first reported the March 17 incident, which took place in Sutherlin, Oregon. Jedediah Ezekiel Fulton was charged with suspicion of second-degree disorderly conduct, second-degree criminal trespass, second-degree criminal mischief and harassment, the News-Review reported. The incident became so scary, a witness inside the McDonald's pulled out a gun out of fear. Fulton allegedly became irate after McDonald's employees refused to fulfill his order of 30 double cheeseburgers. After being refused the order, Fulton allegedly tore down a McDonald's banner and attempted to destroy the location's Golden Arches. Why he was refused the order in the first place is unknown.  934

ANZA, Calif (KGTV) - Tons of weed was hauled and dropped at a high school in the Riverside County city of Anza after deputies served 80 search warrants on illegal pot farms.The substantial bust came hours after a murder on one of the farms. The Riverside County Sheriff's Office did not give out many details other than to say the death was tied to the illegal activity.Sheriff Chad Bianco said the coordinated drug bust effort took months of planning. Deputies started their work when the sun came up, Bianco said, adding he hoped to have at least 200 pot farms out of commission by the end of the day.Many of the operations took place miles down dirt roads. Some of the activities were reasonably hidden; others were easily visible. Neighbors said law enforcement officers were in full combat gear with rifles when they approached the illegal operations. The more 10News spoke to neighbors, the more we heard about the town of Anza being overrun with pot farms."We've been complaining for a long time, and it's happening," said Anza resident Dan, who did not want to be identified because he fears retaliation."With them common cartels and gangs and grows that are protecting themselves from thieves, and with that come guns and come gunfights and come shootings and robberies," Bianco said."This isn't a victimless crime. This is not a pretty little plant that we're taking, someone's medicine, this is a quality-of-life issue that is destroying this valley," Bianco added.The magnitude of the operation was visible as overflowing trucks and helicopters left the area with loads of pot plants. Bianco said the drugs would be destroyed.Neighbors stopped to watch the trucks pass by, saying they're feeling safer already. Dan pumped his fist in excitement, saying, "I'm loving it."The Riverside County Sheriff had a serious message for anyone thinking about starting operations back up once law enforcement clears out: "Don't grow in Anza."In unincorporated Riverside County it is prohibited to cultivate marijuana unless you have a medical card, which allows you to cultivate no more than 12 plants. 2109

An Arizona mother has been arrested after police found audio recordings of her threatening to kill her abused infant. Mesa police report that on Wednesday morning, 18-year-old Leticia Stella Palos, was arrested in Casa Grande for child abuse.Investigators say on July 7, a 3-month-old boy was taken to Cardon’s Children Hospital for an injured right arm. Doctors discovered that his upper arm was broken. Doctors also allegedly found multiple bruises and fractures to three ribs in various states of healing. Police say the doctors determined that these injuries were "highly suspicious for non-accidental trauma."Detectives checked Palos' cell phone and reportedly found multiple recordings sent from her to the boy's father, where they heard the boy breathing "heavy and fast."In other recordings, they reportedly heard the child screaming. Palos was also heard in the recordings threatening to "throw the victim in the trash," and "that she is going to kill the victim."She also allegedly referenced drug use in the recordings.She is being held on a ,000 bond for child abuse.If you suspect a child is being abused, the Arizona Department of Child Services has resources available to report the issue to a social worker. An engineer for the company that designed a pedestrian bridge that collapsed Thursday, killing at least six people, left a voice mail two days earlier for a Florida Department of Transportation employee advising there was "some cracking that's been observed on the north end of the span."The state employee was out on assignment Tuesday and didn't hear the voice mail from W.
