BEIJING, July 22 (Xinhua) -- The Ministry of Finance (MOF) said Sunday that 120 million yuan (19 million U.S. dollars) has been allocated to help the cities of Beijing and Tianjin and neighboring Hebei province to fight floods.
Traffic pressure is also expected to affect roads in the Beijing city proper.
Disaster relief material reserve agencies have been told to prepare and work with railway and other transport departments and ensure relief materials arrive in time, the NCDR said.
It completed 17 dives in the South China Sea between May and July 2010, with the deepest reaching 3,759 meters. This dive made China the fifth country, following the United States, France, Russia and Japan, to send a manned submersible to a depth of 3,500 meters below sea level.
The two sides also initiated their first cooperative program under the partner plan, a satellite data platform based on China's satellite data resources which will be shared with the ASEAN countries.
