SAN DIEGO (KGTV) — Five more people died from the flu in San Diego last week.The new deaths, ranging in people aged from 47- to 77-years-old, all had underlying health conditions, according to the County Health and Human Services Agency. SAN DIEGO (KGTV) - Governor Gavin Newsom is expected to sign a bill that would create a cap on annual rental increases. The bill passed both chambers of the California legislature this week. The bill would limit rent increases to 5% per year, plus the rate of inflation.It would also implement “just cause” protections, which require landlords to give specific reasons for evictions if tenants have lived in a unit for more than a year. 444
SAN DIEGO (KGTV) -- Home prices in the US fell in May while San Diego home prices remained flat and rents rose sharply, according to a new Zillow report. Zillow says the median home in San Diego is now worth 1,000. In the US, the median home is worth 6,800, down 0.1 percent from April. Overall, Zillow says home values in the US grew by more than 5 percent year-over-year. SAN DIEGO (KGTV) — Despite not being on the state's watch list, San Diego County leaders warn it could be a matter of days before the region joins 19 other counties being monitored for rising coronavirus cases.Wednesday, County leaders and health officials mapped out the path that will result in the county avoiding or making California's County Monitoring List. SAN DIEGO (KGTV) - Drivers who travel from northbound Interstate 5 to the Coronado Bridge will be detoured through Barrio Logan this week due to construction.Caltrans crews will shut down the north I-5 connector to SR-75 Monday through Thursday nights to install a debris fence above Chicano Park.Detour signs will guide drivers to exit at Cesar Chavez Parkway, then left to the on-ramp at SR-75 at Logan Avenue.The closure will be in effect from 8 p.m. to 5 a.m. each night.Check TRAFFIC CONDITIONS. 508
