They did not provide details about her condition or the location.SAN DIEGO (KGTV) - San Diego Police asked for the public’s help Friday to find a missing at-risk teenager. The 15-year-old girl was last seen about 4 a.m. near the 15000 block of Via Montecristo in the Del Sur neighborhood. The location is near Del Sur Elementary School. TULSA, Okla. — An Oklahoma woman has faced terrifying health scares over the last year from a tick bite. Nancy Phelps' tongue and face have swollen up many times. She has also spent countless hours in the hospital because she could not breathe. She learned it is all because she was bit by a Lonestar Tick while she was playing with her grandkids in her yard in the spring of 2017."They fall off trees," Phelps said. "They're out in the grass." She started seeing symptoms lke rashes and having stomach problems early on. Phelps thought it was random.Then in the fall, she started going into anaphylactic shock, meaning she could not breathe because of an allergic reaction. "Within about a week time, I was in the emergency room with anaphylaxis eight different times," Phelps said. Several doctors later, Phelps learned that tick bite gave her the Alpha Gal Allergy. It causes an allergic reaction to all mammal-based products."They could feed on an infected animal, get a parasite that then when they feed on a human that human could be infected," said Luisa Krug, the epidemiology supervisor for the Tulsa County Health Department. The CDC said this week that diseases caused by infected ticks, fleas and mosquitoes have tripled in the last 13 years. More than 640,000 cases have been reported. When Phelps consumes mammal bi-products or is around them, she has a severe allergic reaction. Her face and tongue start swelling up. She said she has to inject herself with an Epi-Pen once every one to two weeks. "Anything boxed, in cans, anything you would typically buy off the shelf," Phelps listed what she cannot eat. "Pizza...I didn't realize I liked pizza so much, but those kinds of things are non-existent anymore."Her allergy is so bad that she even has to worry about cross-contamination. Phelp said she bought all new pots for her home. Eating out is nearly impossible now. She has to show restaurants a document she keeps on her phone that lists what she can and cannot consume. Phelps can no longer take gel cap pills, because they are made with animal bi-products. Make up, toiletries, laundry and dishwashing soaps and certain clothing are also a problem.Phelps wants others to take note of her story and take serious precautions. "It's avoidance and being aware of our surroundings," Phelps said.The health department suggests wearing long sleeves and pants outside to avoid being bitten by bugs. VALLEY CENTER, Calif., (KGTV) -- Residents who were evacuated by the Miller Fire Friday afternoon were given the go-ahead to return home Saturday morning. Firefighters made tremendous progress by mitigating the 37 acre fire to 75 percent containment. 10News met Sandor Gyetvai minutes after he and his family returned home from being evacuated. He was surveying his property."This is the starting point," Gyetvai said. "It's just frightening. There's just so much fuel load in here."He was one of more than 1,400 people evacuated from the zone in the direct path of the fast-moving fire. "I ran into the house and grabbed the hard drives with all of our family photos from 20 years ago. We grabbed those, we jumped in the car, grabbed the dog and took off," Gyetvai said. He said it was a scary feeling not knowing if they were coming back to a home or a pile of rubble. "It burned the whole back part of our neighbor's property and came up to the back of ours," he said, pointing at their fence. Firefighters made incredible progress and were able to save the home of Gyetvai's neighbor, Christina Bishop. Bishop's backyard was scorched, but she is finding joy in the little things that survived.The pine tree that her now-adult son planted when he was five years old survived. She also found a golfball her kids hit in the backyard from when they were pretending it was driving range. "I'm going to keep it as a souvenir of the big fire," Bishop said smiling. Aside from the heroic acts of the firefighters, Gyetvai says he also has to thank his two dwarf pygmy goats, Cookie and Midnight. He left the fences open for them to run during the fire, but they stayed and continued to eat off of the brush. "The fire came right up to our property and pretty much stopped because there was no brush to burn because they've eaten it all up!" Gyetvai said. He believed their healthy appetite helped fire-proof their property."They're just eating machines that are living lawnmowers," Gyetvai laughed. 2003

Tropical Storm Michael formed near the Yucatan Peninsula on Sunday, and it's on track to wallop the United States."The current forecast indicates the storm entering the Gulf of Mexico by Monday morning, strengthening to a hurricane by early Wednesday and likely targeting the Florida panhandle by late Wednesday," CNN meteorologist Gene Norman said.As of 4 p.m. Sunday, Tropical Storm Michael was centered about 130 miles southeast of Cozumel, Mexico, the National Hurricane Center said.But it's so big, people 200 miles away from the center are getting hit with tropical-storm-force winds (which have increased to at least 50 mph)."Strengthening is forecast during the next several days," the hurricane center said.Track the stormBefore Michael hits the United States, it's expected to dump 3 to 7 inches of rain on western Cuba."Isolated maximum amounts of 12 inches are possible in western Cuba," the hurricane center said. "This rainfall could lead to life-threatening flash floods and mudslides in areas of mountainous terrain."Michael's path to the Gulf is also affecting politics in Florida.Democratic gubernatorial nominee Andrew Gillum was scheduled to campaign in South Florida on Monday and Tuesday, but said he is suspending his campaign activity to address preparations for the storm, his campaign said. The storm is forecast to land a direct hit on Tallahassee, where Gillum is mayor.Gov. Rick Scott, the Republican nominee for US Senate, at this point has yet to adjust his campaign schedule but his campaign says they are re-evaluating the situation.
