SAN DIEGO (KGTV) -- A San Diego woman said her ex-boyfriend stole naked pictures of her and posted one online without her permission. She said people saw the post and took screenshots of it.She’s now suing the man she says posted the photo, her ex-boyfriend William Ashley Oliver III."This pretty much consumed my life,” she told Team 10 investigator Adam Racusin.That’s L.S describing how one social media post of her naked body wrecked her sense of security. 10News is not naming the woman, but instead using the initials L.S. as they appear in her lawsuit against Oliver to protect her identity.“He was threatening for so long to do it that I didn't think he'd really do it,” she said.Their relationship started as most do: Girl meets boy, they fall in love and move in together. "I felt like I really got to know him fast and fell in love fast,” she said.Just like many relationships, everything was great until it wasn't. Unlike the typical breakup story, here's where this takes a different path.L.S. said she moved back to California in October of last year, about eight months after the relationship started.Oliver came to visit in late November, but things did not go well, she said.She said her ex-boyfriend became aggressive."He smashed my laptop in two, he smashed my brand new iPhone on the ground until it was shattered, and was calling me really horrible things,” she said.According to the lawsuit she filed, before leaving, Oliver took L.S’s passport and jewelry from the bathroom sink.A few days after that incident, while Oliver was still in San Diego, he began sending harassing text messages and copies of private photographs to L.S. to make it clear that at some point in their relationship he illegally accessed her computers and cell phones and stole sexually explicit and private digital photographs without her consent, the lawsuit stated."The pictures that he had were never sent to him they were taken before I ever met him," she said.According to the lawsuit, Oliver texted her: “Posted all your naked pics to the industry whore boards.” It said he also wrote among other things: “Your pics are getting blasted on services Moxy.”The lawsuit says L.S.’s pleas for Oliver to stop had no effect on him. The lawsuit claims Oliver then posted a sexually explicit photo of her on his public Instagram account, accessible by anyone, followed with the text: “(y)our naked pics are starting to proliferate.""My best friend sent me a text message, and she just said oh my god, and it was a screenshot of the picture that Will had posted on Instagram of me,” she said.Team 10 investigator Adam Racusin asked her what she thought when she saw that.“I was just so scared,” she said. “I was just devastated.”According to the lawsuit, Oliver admitted he posted the picture. The lawsuit stated L.S. was informed by a friend and multiple colleagues that they saw the photograph on Oliver’s Instagram site and knew it was her."I don’t know how many people have that; it's everywhere,” she said.Team 10 tried to get a hold of Oliver, but he hung up after answering once and didn’t respond to our request for comment.L.S is suing Oliver for revenge porn among other things. She said having her body on display for anyone to see is sickening.When Team 10 asked her how often she thinks about it, she said, “Every day, every day, many times a day.”L.S. did call the police but did not press charges against Oliver. The Penal Code section is 647(j)(4)(A).Typical punishment may include custody of up to six months in county jail per charge, three years of probation, public work service, counseling, a waiver of Fourth Amendment Rights, and fines of up to ,000 per charge.A spokesperson told 10News they’ve filed the charge 11 times since 2015, with nine cases resulting in a conviction, one awaiting trial, and one defendant failing to appear at arraignment.“Revenge porn is an egregious betrayal of a person’s trust, an attack on their privacy and reputation,” said City Attorney Mara W. Elliott. “Victims should know that our Sex Crimes Unit prosecutes these cases aggressively.”A spokesperson for the San Diego County District Attorney said from 2015 to 2018 they located six cases where the facts are consistent with ‘revenge porn.’ 4432

SAN DIEGO (KGTV) -- A state review board will decide Tuesday whether to grant parole to a former skateboarding star from Carlsbad who has spent nearly three decades behind bars for a brutal rape and murder.Mark “Gator” Rogowski was a world champion skateboarder in the 1980’s who drew comparisons to Tony Hawk. He parlayed his fame into endorsements and promotional videos until he entered a guilty plea to the 1991 rape and murder of Jessica Bergsten, whose body was found buried in the desert.“This was a horrific, heinous, monstrous crime by an individual who really doesn’t want to admit that he took out transferred rage on another innocent individual,” said Deputy District Attorney Richard Sachs, who will represent the state at Tuesday’s hearing.Rogowski was denied parole in 2011 and 2016, but his case was granted another review ahead of schedule, Sachs said. The parole board will determine if Rogowski remains a threat to the community based on a psychological assessment and other factors.In a promotional video by the prison rehabilitation non-profit Getting Out by Going In (GOGI), Rogowski said he’s taken accountability for the crime and found a higher power.“My identity as a man was skewed. I thought what it meant to be a man was to be a womanizer, to have a lot of relationships,” he said.In 1991, the former skateboarding celebrity invited Bergsten to his Carlsbad apartment. Bergsten was a friend of the girl who had just dumped Rogowski.In a fit of what he called “misplaced revenge,” Rogowski clubbed the young woman over the head, cut her clothes off with scissors and sexually assaulted her for hours. When she screamed for help, Rogowski covered her with a surfboard bag and strangled her through it. He then drove two hours into the desert and buried her naked body in a shallow grave.“Certain crimes are so horrible they shock the conscience and this is one of them,” Sachs said.Sachs said prosecutors will strongly oppose parole on public safety grounds, although he acknowledged he could not predict the board's decision. SAN DIEGO (KGTV) -- A warning for all homeowners after what looked like a yard sale turned out to be an elaborate theft. Several men staying in a vacation rental near La Jolla pulled up in a moving truck, stealing everything inside. Surveillance cameras caught men moving things through a Birdrock-area garage and into a truck, but the men aren’t movers. They were reportedly staying in the vacation rental, but according to the homeowner had checked in using fake credentials, fake credit cards and fake IDs. "As soon as I found out I went and told all of my employees, and will definitely spread the word that there is a crew going around doing something like this,” said Tyler Trowbridge, a contractor at Trowbridge Custom Floors.Trowbridge is a contractor working in the neighborhood. He’s had tools stolen while working at home and knows how the homeowner is feeling. "You don't wish it upon anybody, it's their personal belongings and their home was invaded. It's a breach of privacy and an invasion in your world."In this case, it wasn’t small belongings either. The owner says the men cleared the place out, taking everything from furniture and TVs to the stove. "When I talked to the actual owner, it was a lot more intense than I thought."What’s more, the owner says meth was left inside. "The fact that there were drugs in the house too, leads me to believe that it might happen again too."La Jolla Vacation Rentals is the property manager. 10News asked them for an interview, but they wouldn’t do it. SAN DIEGO (KGTV) — A three-year-old girl being evaluated for coronavirus at Rady Children's Hospital has tested negative for the virus.Frank Wicinski confirmed to 10News that his daughter Annabel has tested negative for the novel coronavirus. CDC confirmed the results.Wicinski says he and his daughter will now be returned to MCAS Miramar to finish out their 14-day quarantine. SAN DIEGO (KGTV) – An emotional sentencing hearing was held downtown Tuesday for a driver behind a fatal Chollas View crash last March.In March, 36-year-old Jacqueline Castillo reportedly had drugs in her system when blew through an intersection in Chollas View, slamming her car into another car, killing 62-year-old Brenda Lee.“I want to put a face to that name. Brenda Doreen Lee was my sister,” said Lee’s brother, Ronnie Lee, as he held her framed photo up for the courtroom and Castillo to see. “You made choices to get loaded. You made choices to drive on a suspended licensed. You made a choice to drive erratically."The crash happened in the early afternoon by an elementary school. Castillo later pleaded guilty to vehicular manslaughter. “The horrifying images I saw will never be removed from my mind,” said Lee’s son, Myrell Johns. He fought off tears as he described how his family’s life has been destroyed. “I often think about my mother's terrifying thoughts that may have occurred moments before and after the impact of this person's vehicle plowing through my mother's driver side door." Judge Laura Halgren sentenced Castillo to six years in prison. “We're all human but I believe that every mistake doesn't deserve forgiveness,” Johns told the courtroom. 1284
