CHICAGO, Ill. – A star of the Netflix show “Cheer” has been arrested and charged with producing child pornography.The U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Northern District of Illinois said in a press release Thursday that Jeremiah (Jerry) Harris used a social media app to repeatedly entice an underage boy to produce and send sexually explicit videos and photos of himself.A criminal complaint filed in U.S. District Court in Chicago shows the victim informed Harris that he was 13 years old during their initial encounter online.Harris, a Naperville resident, was taken into custody Thursday morning on the one count of producing child pornography, according to the U.S. attorney’s office.Production of child porn is punishable by a minimum sentence of 15 years in prison and a maximum of 30 years.Harris is scheduled to make an initial court appearance Thursday afternoon before U.S. Magistrate Judge M. David Weisman in Chicago.Law enforcement is continuing to investigate. CARLSBAD, Calif. (KGTV) - A motorcyclist from San Marcos died Sunday after crashing into a truck in Carlsbad.According to Carlsbad police, the 19-year-old motorcyclist was riding along the 4600 block of Carlsbad Boulevard when he collided with a Toyota Tundra around 4:35 p.m.Emergency responders arrived and transported the motorcyclist to the hospital but he was pronounced dead on the way.The driver of the Toyota, a 38-year-old man from Grand Terrace, stopped on the scene.Investigators have not said what caused the collision. (KGTV) - A Carlsbad high school teacher accused of "inappropriate conduct" is denying the allegations that has forced him out of the classroom for months.About two months ago, senior Rafa Fabito said his film teacher at La Costa Canyon High School, Speed Farris, was a no-show."I thought he was just absent," said Fabito.But that absence continued without an explanation -- until now. An email was sent home to parents earlier this week confirming Harris is currently assigned to the San Dieguito Union High School District's Administrative Office amid an investigation into allegations of "inappropriate conduct toward former students." Across the La Costa Canyon campus, there was a sense of disbelief."This doesn't jive with what his typical personality is like. I wouldn't expect this from him," said Fabito.Early this school year, student Mary Harris took a literature class taught by Farris."He liked to joke around but never made anyone feel uncomfortable. Just a happy, fine guy," said Harris.Some parents told 10News they were upset it took months for the school district to inform them. As for the teacher at the center of the probe, he agreed to talk to 10News. By phone, Farris told 10News he couldn't say much, but did maintain his innocence. "These allegations are false. They're unwarranted. I've cooperated with the district investigation as much as possible. This whole process is ruining my life and my career," said Farris. 10News reached out to the San Dieguito Union High School District to find out why it took several months to inform parents, and is waiting to hear back. CHARLOTTE, NC (WGHP) -- Crowds lined up to see Billy Graham’s funeral motorcade bring his casket from Asheville to Charlotte on Saturday.The motorcade left Asheville at about 11 a.m. and brought his casket to the Billy Graham Library shortly before 3 p.m.Graham, an evangelical minister and spiritual confidant to American presidents, died at the age of 99 on Wednesday.Graham “spread the gospel in 185 countries during his 99 years on Earth, touching the lives of many and forever changing the course of the world’s spiritual health,” according to a statement by House Speaker Paul Ryan.Graham’s private funeral will be held on Friday, March 2 at the Billy Graham Library in Charlotte, North Carolina.About 2,300 guests have been invited, including President Donald Trump, Vice President Mike Pence, and every living former president.Billy Graham Evangelistic Association confirmed that George W. Bush and his wife Laura will attend the repose on Monday, but not the funeral. The organization couldn’t confirm if any other former presidents, President Trump or Vice President are attending any events next week.Graham will lie in repose in his childhood home, which was moved to Charlotte several years ago, on Monday, February 26 and Tuesday, February 27.
