Anthony Weiner is set to be released from prison about three months earlier than initially scheduled, according to the Federal Bureau of Prisons website.In May 2017, Weiner pleaded guilty to one charge of transferring obscene material to a minor in federal court in Manhattan. The charges stem from communications that the former congressman had with a 15f-year-old girl on social media sites between January and March 2016."This crime was my rock bottom," Weiner said in court. "I have no excuse. ... I victimized a young person who deserved better."Weiner was a prominent Democratic congressman before he resigned in 2011 following the release of sexually-charged, and sometimes explicit, text messages he exchanged with women other than his wife. During his run for New York City mayor in 2013, more sexually-explicit exchanges with other women were released before he was soundly defeated in that race.Weiner's estranged wife, Huma Abedin, was a top aide to Democratic presidential nominee Hillary Clinton. The federal investigation into Weiner ended up playing a critical role in the 2016 election when emails potentially relevant to the FBI's investigation into Clinton's email server?surfaced on Weiner's laptop. Former FBI Director James Comey announced the discovery of the emails less than two weeks before election day, only to conclude two days before the balloting that the emails changed nothing in the investigation. Firefighters battling the Holy Fire in Southern California took care of a dehydrated fawn Monday afternoon. Officials with the Cleveland National Forest tweeted that the firefighters stumbled upon the fawn and discovered she was heat exhausted and dehydrated. The men can be seen in a photo giving the fawn a much-needed drink of water before helping get her back on her feet.  410

Four 15-year-olds were arrested after leading Metro Nashville Police officers on a chase that ended on Briley Parkway.The teens in the chase involving a stolen car are also under investigation in relation to other recent crimes involving juveniles.On Thursday, officers were on the lookout for the stolen Prius after receiving a tip that wanted 14-year-old Rico Ransom was suspected of being in the vehicle.Ransom has been a fugitive since he allegedly shot and critically wounded a 17-year-old across from Pearl Cohn High School nearly two weeks ago.Officers pursued the teens for 15 minutes after spotting the car at 20th Avenue North & Herman Street. They then deployed spike strips into the path of the Prius finally, which finally caused the vehicle to slow and stop on Briley Parkway. The teens bailed out and ran. Three were quickly arrested and the fourth was arrested while hiding in a neighborhood on W. Vailview Court.The Prius was stolen on the morning of February 20 on Neal Terrace.Officers continue in their efforts to locate Rico Ransom. FORT WAYNE, Ind. — A man who lost an eye after being struck by a tear gas canister police in Indiana fired during a May protest over George Floyd’s death is suing the city and a police officer. Twenty-one-year-old Balin Brake's federal lawsuit contends the injury “has permanently changed his life." He's seeking damages from the city of Fort Wayne and the unidentified officer who fired the canister. The Journal Gazette reports that Brake's right eye had to be surgically removed after it was struck by a tear gas canister during the May 30 protest. City spokesman John Perlich declined to comment on the pending litigation. 634
