Police in North Haven, Connecticut have arrested a man they said implied he was going to hand out candy filled with poison to trick-or-treaters.Detectives received an anonymous tip about alarming statements made by 57-year-old Ronald Przybylo.Upon their investigation, police said they found disturbing posts and videos that led them to believe the man was possibly dangerous.Police said Przybylo allegedly posted comments implying that he planned to provide candy filled with rat poison to trick-or-treaters.Przybylo also reportedly referenced several mass killings from around the country and “dubbed himself the Halloween Lunatic,” police said.When officers responded to his home, they found floors and furniture to be completely covered with animal urine and feces.The North Haven Animal Control and the Quinnipiac Valley Health Department responded and removed three dogs, three cats, and an Amazon African Bird.Ronald Przybylo was arrested and charged with second-degree breach of peace, seven counts of animal cruelty, and was held on a ,000 bond.Maryellen Przybylo was also arrested and charged with seven counts of animal cruelty and was released on a ,500 bond.She’s expected to appear in court on Nov. 9. 1233

Paul Manafort, President Donald Trump's former campaign chairman, secretly met several times with WikiLeaks founder Julian Assange inside the Ecuadorian embassy in London, including around the time he was made a top figure in the Trump campaign, The Guardian reported Tuesday. The Guardian, citing sources, said Manafort met with Assange in 2013, 2015 and in the spring of 2016, around the time he joined Trump's campaign.Both WikiLeaks and Manafort feature prominently in special counsel Robert Mueller's investigation into Russian meddling in the 2016 election. In a court filing on Monday, Mueller accused Manafort of lying to investigators after agreeing to cooperate with the special counsel's office.The newspaper said it is unclear "why Manafort wanted to see Assange and what was discussed."Citing a "well-placed source," The Guardian reported that Manafort met with Assange around March 2016, just months before WikiLeaks released Democratic emails believed to be stolen by Russian intelligence officers.Manafort, the newspaper reported, denied having any involvement in the hack. PHOENIX - Kyrsten Sinema has defeated Martha McSally in the highly contested race for an Arizona Senate seat, per the Associated Press. This comes after several days of ballot counting and controversy over rural county results.Sinema (D) defeated McSally (R) for the seat previously held by Senator Jeff Flake, who chose not to run again in this election.On Friday, Republican and Democrat leaders agreed to give rural counties a second chance to fix ballot issues with voters. GOP leaders hoped the move would help Republicans gain votes for McSally in the race, but Sinema's lead was eventually too wide to recover from.  With this win, Sinema will be named the first female U.S. Senator from the state of Arizona.Democrats are projected to have at least 47 Senate seats at the start of the new Congress in 2019. PALM HARBOR, Fla. — Four Florida siblings were on a mission to bring their dad home. Scott Piwinski has terminal throat cancer and the community came together to grant his final wish. Quadruplets Nick, Danielle, Rachael and Sarah Piwinski were preparing to spend their last Thanksgiving with their dad.“My dad. He means everything to me,” Nick said.“It definitely has been a struggle. I’m grateful for my siblings,” Danielle chimed in.Together, the 21-year-old siblings worked to complete their dad’s final wish — to spend his remaining days in his own home.“For him to come home one last time and spend it with us — for hours, days or weeks — is going to be incredible,” Rachael said while wiping away tears. But two years fighting terminal throat cancer took a toll on Scott and his Palm Harbor, Florida home. From a hole in the roof to stained carpet, the home was in need of some TLC. “The entire house was not in any shape for him to come home to,” Danielle said.So the siblings put out a call to the community and Scott’s Coast Guard family, where he served as a chief for more than two decades.Almost immediately, dozens of volunteers fixed the roof, put in new floors and prepared Scott’s bedroom for his return.“They said if we were in this situation, we know Scott would do the same,” Sarah said with a smile.Next door neighbor Melissia Delgado was one of the volunteers to chip in.“When we first moved into our Palm Harbor home, Scott had just been diagnosed with cancer," Delgado said. "He had a trach in his throat and he was outside offering to help us move furniture into our house! Which was amazing.”Even strangers like Carissa Konopack donated an entire Thanksgiving meal.“It just touched me so deeply and I really felt like I wanted to help too,” Konopack explained.The Piwinski siblings hoped to bring their dad home by Thanksgiving, but an insurance mix-up pushed back their plans. She said she recently moved to Paradise with her boyfriend.She was at work when the fire broke out but her boyfriend rushed home to save his mom and their dog.
