Meanwhile, the statistics released in the case's regular court filings offer one of the few public windows into the reunification process.The filing shows some progress in the reunifications -- a painstaking effort that has stretched for months as officials tracked down parents who were deported without their children and coordinated repatriation flights. (KGTV) -- Three people were rushed to the hospital early Monday morning after a head-on collision on a Spring Valley street.According to the California Highway Patrol, the crash happened in the 9100 block of Jamacha Boulevard, near Kempton Street, at around 1:30 a.m.While the events that led to the crash remain under investigation, CHP officials confirmed two cars collided head-on and left the drivers of each vehicle trapped.Emergency crews took about 15 minutes to extricate the drivers and a passenger from the wreckage. The conditions of the victims are unknown.No other vehicles were involved and no other injuries were reported. 667

Starbucks announced changes to their loyalty program giving customers more ways to pay for their drinks while earning stars.Customers have complained for years about the need to reload their Starbucks card in order to spend money at the coffee giant and earn loyalty stars.In order for customers to earn stars in the Starbucks Rewards loyalty program, customers had to use a Starbucks card or gift card to pay. This forced regular customers to constantly reload their card to ensure there was enough money for their purchases.Starbucks announced Tuesday they will allow alternative payments in a few months, and still allow members to earn stars or purchases. Alternative methods include debit/credit cards, cash, and select mobile wallets.However, there’s a catch.When the changes take place, customers paying with their Starbucks card or gift card will earn two loyalty stars per spent, and those paying with alternative methods will earn one star per spent. (KGTV) - A local woman believes she was the target of a so-called "slider" targeting drivers at gas stations.Just past noon on Wednesday at the Arco on Jamacha Road, Blanca Maye finished filling up and then noticed a white sedan pull up next to her.Inside the car was a casually dressed man, about 30 years old. She said he glanced at her car a few times and that made her pause. She locked up her car, after collecting some trash from it.MAP: Track crime in your neighborhood"I was walking toward the trash can, and I remember hearing someone grab my door handle," said Maye.She says when she looked back there he was: the same man right next to her door, quickly walking away toward the cashier.Upset, Maye stared at him and then drove away with her purse safely sitting on the floor of her car. Others haven't been so lucky.  Recently, police in the Los Angeles area sent out video of "sliders" in action: thieves pulling up - and while the driver is distracted - getting low and sneaking toward the car to steal valuables. Police warned these incidents on the rise in Southern California and the target is usually women who are alone."People don't expect this to happen at gas station. You're literally there for two minutes at the most.  I expect to pump my gas, not to get robbed," said Maye.Authorities remind drivers to lock their doors, remove their keys and close their windows when stopping at the fill up.San Diego police say they haven't noticed a spike in sliding incidents. 1548

SPRING VALLEY (KGTV) -- A driver is recovering in the hospital after being rescued from his car Wednesday night.According to California Highway Patrol, the man crashed his car around 10:15 p.m. on Sandy Bev Lane.Deputies say the car sheared a power pole before taking out several fences and almost hitting a house.The victim was taken to the hospital with major injuries. No other cars were involved.CHP is investigating what caused the driver to lose control. 468
