Air Hollywood is the brain child of self-proclaimed aviation geek Talaat Captan, a former movie producer who came up with the idea after facing so many challenges anytime he wanted to do a plane scene. “You name it. Trying to get in an airport, trying to get a plane, it was really a challenge,” he says. “Then, I realized there’s an opportunity here.”He keeps Air Hollywood’s four aircraft sets in as close to working order as possible, from cockpit electrics to the overhead bins. Captan is so into it, he's even built a replica 1970’s Pan Am. Air Hollywood seems to have thought of everything. “The entire platform here on the plane is built on airbags on hydraulics,” Captan describes. “We can lift it up and shake it a lot. A Georgia family got a special holiday surprise last week after finding an owl hiding inside their Christmas tree.The discovery came last Thursday evening when Katie McBride Newman and her two children, India and Jack, were finishing dinner.India, 10, had started to clear the table and was in another room when Newman heard her exclaim, "Oh my gosh!""She comes very dramatically into the dining room and goes, 'Mama, that ornament scared me,'" Newman told CNN. "Then she bursts into tears."Newman said she's a big fan of owls, so the tree actually had about a dozen owl ornaments gracing its branches. At first, Newman said she thought India had just been spooked by one of those.So Newman checked it out, ready to calm her daughter's fears. But when she peered into the tree for the ornament, she saw the owl turn its head and look straight at her."And I'm like, 'Oh, that's a real owl,'" Newman said. Meanwhile, India had disappeared into the other room, in tears again.Owl may have been in their tree for over a weekThe family had purchased the tree from a store about two days after Thanksgiving, so at first they thought the owl must have flown in and taken refuge inside their tree, Newman's husband, Billy, told CNN.The family left their windows and doors open that night, hoping the bird would leave on its own -- but it didn't.The next day, they called the Chattahoochee Nature Center, a non-profit environmental center about an hour away from their home in Newnan. An employee there told them to leave the owl some raw chicken, concerned it may not have eaten in a few days.The employee stopped by Saturday morning. She caught the bird and identified it as an Eastern screech owl, common in the Georgia area, a spokesperson for the nature center, Jon Copsey, told CNN. She also checked for injuries and gave it some food and nutritional supplements.The owl was pretty thin, igniting the theory that the bird must have been inside the tree since they bought it, Billy Newman said.Returning the owl to the wildThe employee left the family some instructions: Leave the bird in a crate in a darkened room and release it after dark.At dusk on Saturday, the family left the open crate outside. By 9:30 p.m., the owl had disappeared.Copsey said the family did everything right in the situation -- closing it off from the rest of the house, trying to help it escape on its own and calling a wildlife rehabilitation professional.Katie Newman, though, says she swears she can still hear the owl at night, hooting away. 2531

A family in Chicago has filed a lawsuit, claiming that the Chicago Police raided the wrong home during a 4-year-old's birthday party.Stephanie Bures, the plaintiff in the lawsuit, claims that officers had the wrong house during the Feb. 10 raid, claiming that the suspect sought by police had not lived there for five years. Bures claimed in the lawsuit that 17 officers raided the home during her son's birthday party. The lawsuit claims that officers pointed guns at the 4-year-old, and Bures' 7-year-old child.Chicago Police was unable to comment to NBC News on pending litigation. Bures' attorney, Al Hofeld Jr., held a news conference on Tuesday regarding the raid. He claimed that officers handcuffed the parents, shouted profanities and insults and smashed the child's birthday cake. "Hysterical, the children were terrified that they and their families were going to be shot," Hofeld said in a press release. "During the ensuring search, officers smashed TJ’s birthday cake, poured peroxide on his presents, trashed the basement unit, screamed profanity and insults at the families, unlawfully questioned the children in a separate room without the consent of their parents, and joked and laughed throughout the raid. No one was arrested or charged."Hofeld claimed that his office found the current address of search warrant’s suspect within 30 seconds. 1373

#MeToo is changing American culture and putting weight behind a call for change.The concept built to a movement in 2017 when the New York Times published major allegations against producer Harvey Weinstein. The movement gained steam as more women came forward.Dr. Stefanie K. Johnson is an associate professor of management at the University of Colorado Boulder. She studies workplace sexual harassment against women, among other things, and says #MeToo was a case of strength in numbers.“So the first accuser is always doubted and blamed right?” Johnson explains. “'What was she wearing? What did she do? She has a history of bad behavior.' But when the tenth accuser comes forward with the exact same story, you don't doubt."Johnson and her team started a workplace sexual harassment study in 2016 before the #MeToo movement caught on.The team asked women about their experiences in 2016 and followed up in 2018.They found women reported experiencing fewer sexually harassing encounters at work during those years when compared to earlier studies.The study also found that workplace sexual harassment had less of an impact on womens’ self-esteem and self-worth during that time.Johnson says it could be because the victims knew they weren’t alone."I think most women started to feel like, 'well this isn't really something about me’ or it's something about all women, right?” Johnson says.She adds, “If so many people are experiencing sexual harassment then it can't be something that I did. Unless we all as a gender are doing the same behaviors to deserve it."Despite progress, Johnson says there’s a long way to go.Her study found an increase in gender-based harassment during the study period.“(In) men and women who might have previously sexually harassed ... instead, they know 'I’m not supposed to sexually harass people, this is a big topic' but they're still engaging in the same negative treatment of women,” Johnson says.The #MeToo movement is shifting American culture in other ways, too.A third of workers say it made them change their behavior at work, according to a recent Associated Press poll. The movement is also sparking legal changes to things like non-disclosure agreements.Movement leaders say they aren’t done sparking change.
