LAKE PARK, Fla. -- The owners of a bait and tackle store in Florida have been accused of holding two people they suspected of shoplifting at gunpointDaniel Friedman, Eric Friedman and Daniel Friedman, the owners of Just Fishing Tackle and Consignment in Lake Park are charged with robbery with a firearm, false imprisonment, and tampering with evidence.On Aug.16, deputies with the Palm Beach County Sheriff's Office says it responded to the Just Fishing in reference to a shoplifting complaint.When deputies arrived, one person was laying on the ground surrendering to law enforcement, and one of the business owners was holding a shotgun over another person in the rear of the store.PBSO says the person being held at gunpoint had lacerations and swelling to his face and lacerations to his arms and back.During their investigation, deputies learned that the Friedmans knew the people they accused of shoplifting.The employees told the detective that on Aug. 8, the person being held at gunpoint along with an unidentified man came to Just Fishing and stole a fishing reel worth approximately 0. At no time did the Friedmans or other employees notify law enforcement to report the crime.The detective said that on Aug. 16, Daniel Friedman and his son Eric, called the man about the stolen fishing reel. Both he and another man showed up to the store that afternoon. Upon entering the store, PBSO says Eric Friedman confronted the man about the theft. According to the detective, the man and Daniel Friedman began to fight and Daniel Friedman pulled out a shotgun.PBSO says the two men were held against their will at gunpoint. Naomi Friedman is seen on video placing a large sum of cash into a white envelope, then place the envelope into a larger mailing envelope and places it into a desk drawer.PBSO says surveillance footage shows Daniel Friedman grabbing one man by the neck and pushing him back down into the chair.At 4:36 p.m., surveillance video shows Marc Kellener walk into the office and punch one of the men twice in the face.At 4:40 p.m., Daniel Friedman is seen on video striking one of the men in the head with the butt of the shotgun. (KGTV) — Firefighters say a four-acre brush fire that ignited above a neighborhood on Saturday was sparked by a metal grinder.The Cordial Fire broke out at about on a hillside near Cordial Road and Avenida Del Charro just before 4 p.m. The fire originally began with moderate rate of spread before crews quickly stamped it out and prevented flames from threatening structures.Firefighters said the fire began after a metal grinder sparked dry grass."A small mishap can have disastrous effects, especially this time of year. (KGTV) - Supporters of a sales tax increase in Lemon Grove plan to gather signatures for the final time this weekend in hopes of qualifying a ballot measure that they say is needed to save the city from disincorporation.Facing gloomy revenue projections in a city with the lowest sales tax rate in the county, supporters want to put a three-quarter cent increase before voters on the March ballot.Without the hike, the city might be forced to dissolve into the county, which would take possession of city assets and likely sell City Hall, said councilman Jerry Jones."We've done all the cuts that we can do," he said. "We're in worse shape than we were 10 years ago."The city spends roughly 80 percent of its budget on public safety, leaving little for infrastructure and other programs like addressing homelessness, Jones said.The tax hike would generate 3 million dollars, raising the city's total sales tax revenue by 38 percent, he said.At the Grove Grinder restaurant, business owner Sharon Jones is skeptical of the doomsday scenario."I think it's just a scare tactic," she said.She thinks the city should help its business community grow, and says raising the sales tax might do just the opposite."There are more businesses closing down here in lemon grove. Law enforcement authorities are searching for a man who's suspected of threatening to shoot President Donald Trump.Shawn Richard Christy, of McAdoo, Pennsylvania, was last seen in Cumberland, Maryland, Sunday night driving a stolen vehicle, according to the authorities.The US Marshals Service is offering ,000 for information leading to Christy's arrest. Christy has been wanted on a June 19 federal warrant, accused of posting threats on Facebook against the President and Northampton County District Attorney John Morganelli.According to officials, Christy posted, "Keep it up Morganelli, I promise I'll put a bullet in your head as soon as I put one in the head of President Donald J. Trump."Christy is a 27-year-old white man who stands at 5 feet 10 inches and weighs about 160 pounds, according to a flyer released by the FBI. He has short dark blond hair, a large tattoo on his right upper arm of a "pointed cross and barbed wire," and speaks with a distinct lisp.Kentucky State Police said that upon reviewing surveillance footage it appears on Aug. 9 Christy stole a green 2001 Jeep Grand Cherokee with a black hood from the residence of Timothy Gilliam.
