CANON CITY, Colo. (AP) — A Colorado woman suspected of trying to sell three human fetuses from the 1920s and a fetal skeleton online has been indicted in California on charges of violating a U.S. law prohibiting the transfer of human fetal tissue.Emily Suzanne Cain, 38, pleaded not guilty to charges Tuesday, KUSA-TV reported .The case has been delayed until Nov. 20 in U.S. District Court in San Francisco, according to court records.The fetuses are believed to be from stillborn infants from the 1920s, court records said.Cain attempted in October 2018 to mail a package from Canon City in central Colorado to an address in the United Kingdom, according to a criminal complaint.The package, labeled "school teaching aids and T-shirts," caught the attention of U.S. Postal Service workers who noticed there was no signature on a customs form certifying the package did not contain dangerous contents, authorities said in the complaint.An X-ray of the package revealed a human-like shape, according to U.S. customs agents at the San Francisco International Airport cited in the complaint.Cain posted on Facebook that she acquired the fetuses from a university lab collection and was selling them for ,000, the complaint said.The specimens were traced to Creighton University in Omaha, Nebraska, the complaint said.University policy calls for specimens that are no longer needed to be cremated and not sold, university officials told investigators. CARLSBAD, Calif. (KGTV) -- Cameron Wetzler's downtown skate shop almost made the Guinness Book of World Records for being the smallest skate shop on Earth. Instead, the building could be torn down.In July, Wetzler subleased the 100-square-foot building in a downtown Carlsbad parking lot and opened Elm Street Board Shop. He had a local artist spruce up the outside with images of Carlsbad at sunset and a Freddie Krueger theme."All the kids have been skating here for two generations and anybody who lives down here always thought this should be a skate shop," he said. Wetzler's shop, and a vape shop next door, closed in October to make way for redevelopment. A Carlsbad family is proposing to turn the site into a glassblowing operation that would offer classes, demonstrations and shopping."The last thing we want to do is another coffee shop or condos," said Mary Devlin, who would own what's being called Barrio Glassworks. "We really wanted it to be part of the look of Carlsbad and to fit with sort of the real local community."Devlin said glassblowing is becoming rare these days, and was inspired after a trip to Murano Island in Venice with her son. Toni Anderson makes no apologies for going after the man she calls her "deadbeat ex" for having her raise their 3-year-old daughter on her own. Anderson says her ex-husband chose to go to Canada rather than pay court-ordered child support in the early 1970s. "I kind of put it on the back burner and just kind of forgot about it over the years," said Anderson. She supported her daughter while working as an interior designer in Los Angeles at a firm her daughter now runs."I'm not negating the fact I was able to send my daughter to college, Paris.
