Researchers from the University of Roehampton in London and the University of Sydney found that kangaroos know how to communicate with humans if they need help.According to the study published in the journal Biology Letters on Wednesday, out of the 11 kangaroos researched, 10 of them gazed at researchers when they were unable to access food during an unsolvable task. Out of those 10, nine of the marsupials would alternate their gaze from the object to the human. In some cases, researchers said, the kangaroos would sometimes even nudge or scratched them to ask for help, said co-author Alexandra Green, according to the University of Sydney. Before the study, researchers thought that only domesticated animals, like dogs, cats, wolves, horses, and sometimes goats, were capable of communicating with humans with an enhanced form of communication.Officials said the study's kangaroos were from various zoos in Australia and are familiar with people but are not considered domesticated. 996

President Donald Trump tweeted a photo on Wednesday of rockets that were aimed at the US Embassy in Baghdad, and claimed that the rockets were fired by Iran. The attack came on Sunday, embassy officials confirmed. Trump said that three of the rockets failed to launch. The embassy said that there was minor damage to the compound, but no injuries. The US embassy said there were reports of damage and injuries in residential communities near the embassy.“These sorts of attacks on diplomatic facilities are a violation of international law and are a direct assault on the sovereignty of the Iraqi government,” the US Embassy in Baghdad tweeted.“Some friendly health advice to Iran: If one American is killed, I will hold Iran responsible. Think it over,” Trump said on Wednesday.Tensions rose earlier this year between Iran and the US after Iranian General Qasem Soleimani was killed after a US attack on the influential Iranian military leader. Iran responded by firing more than a dozen missiles that struck two airbases in Iraq that houses U.S. troops, the Pentagon confirmed. Iran said at the time that it did not seek to escalate tensions between the two nations."Iran took & concluded proportionate measures in self-defense under Article 51 of UN Charter targeting base from which cowardly armed attack against our citizens & senior officials were launched," Iran's Foreign Minister Javad Zarif said in January. "We do not seek escalation or war, but will defend ourselves against any aggression."Saeed Khatibzadeh, a spokesperson for Iran’s foreign ministry, alleged on Monday that the US was responsible for escalating tensions following Sunday’s attack.“We strongly refute Secretary (Mike) Pompeo 's irresponsible anti-Iran accusations, which blatantly aim to create tension,” Khatibzadeh tweeted. “Iran rejects any attack on diplomatic missions. The U.S. military presence is the source of instability in our region. No amount of spin can divert blame for its evils.” 1991

President-elect Joe Biden is slated to deliver remarks in defense of the Affordable Care Act (ACA) on Tuesday — the same day the Supreme Court is slated to hear arguments in a case that could effectively strike down the law.Biden, who was serving as Vice President in the Obama Administration when the landmark legislation passed in 2010, has promised to build upon and improve the public health care system set up by the ACA.Biden faces an uphill battle in enacting legislation on the Senate, where Democrats must win two runoff races in Georgia in January in order to control the chamber. But because Republicans rushed to confirm Justice Amy Coney Barrett to the high court prior to the election, conservatives now hold a 6-3 advantage — and there's a chance the ACA may not even survive long enough for Biden to make changes to the law.The case, brought by several conservative states and the Trump administration, asserts that one of the law's most controversial items — the individual mandate — is unconstitutional. The individual mandate required all Americans to be covered by insurance or pay a penalty tax. In 2019, Trump signed a law that removed the individual mandate, allowing conservative states like Texas, to set the penalty rate to Question-and-answer website Quora warned late Monday that hackers gained access to the personal data of as many as 100 million of its users.Quora discovered on Friday that one of its systems had been hacked by "a malicious third party," CEO Adam D'Angelo said in a blog post. The compromised information includes users' names, email addresses and encrypted passwords as well as data from social networks like Facebook (FB) and Twitter (TWTR) if people chose to link them to their Quora accounts. The hackers also obtained details about users' activity on Quora, such as questions, answers, upvotes and downvotes. But anonymously written questions and answers were not affected by the breach."The overwhelming majority of the content accessed was already public on Quora, but the compromise of account and other private information is serious," D'Angelo said. The site is now notifying affected users and logging them out."We believe we've identified the root cause and taken steps to address the issue, although our investigation is ongoing and we'll continue to make security improvements," D'Angelo said.Quora bills itself as "a place where you can ask questions you care about and get answers that are amazing."People can post a question to the platform like "What are some amazing facts about Apple, the company?" or "What is the ultimate sandwich?" — and see what answers other users come up with. The site's data breach is the latest in a series of high-profile hacks. 1493. Those states now argue that because the individual mandate is not raising revenue, it makes the law unconstitutional. The Supreme Court is expected to issue a ruling on the case early in early summer.Biden's remarks on Tuesday come a day after he met with his newly-appointed COVID-19 advisory board — a group that will provide guidance to Biden's transition team about the pandemic. During his address on Monday, Biden stressed that the U.S. will face "a very dark winter," but added there are steps everyone can take to slow the spread of the virus."I implore you, wear a mask. A mask is not a political statement," Biden said.Biden's remarks about the Affordable Care Act are scheduled to take place at 2 p.m. ET. 1975

President Donald Trump tweeted on Thursday that he will continue to follow the advice of his lawyers and cooperate with special prosecutor Robert Mueller."I have agreed with the historically cooperative, disciplined approach that we have engaged in with Robert Mueller (Unlike the Clintons!). I have full confidence in Ty Cobb, my Special Counsel, and have been fully advised throughout each phase of this process," Trump tweeted.Recent reports indicated that Trump has been especially irate with an FBI raid of his personal lawyer's office, the findings which could eventually be turned over to Mueller for his investigation into Russian meddling in the 2016 election. Some outlets report that Trump is considering firing deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein, who appointed Mueller as special counsel last year. The Washington Post also reports that Trump's former advisor, Steven Bannon was urging aides on a plan to fire Rosenstein and stop cooperating with Mueller.Trump is reported to have considered firing Mueller in December 2017 and in June 2017, according to the New York Times.  1128
