NEW YORK CITY — A man sleeping on a Harlem street was hit with fireworks and suffered burns, police said Monday after a video of the incident circulated on social media.Video shows someone lighting and throwing a firework at the man, who appears to be homeless. The firework explodes as it hits the man.Another person can be seen in the video filming the incident.An NYPD spokesperson said the department received a call at around 4 a.m. Monday near 62 Lenox Ave. (Malcolm X Boulevard) in Harlem.Officers found the man, 66, suffering from minor burns. North Dakota Senator Heidi Heitkamp is facing the very real possibility that she may have to say good bye to the seat she's held for the past six years.Heitkamp is a moderate Democrat, who touts her ability to make tough choices and not always voting based on politics. One of the hardest moments for her was voting "no" to Supreme Court nominee Brett Kavanaugh."I think that a lot of people wrote the political obituary after that vote, and it may in fact be that," says Heitkamp.Voting against Trump was also a risky move, in a state that voted for the president by a 36-point margin.When asked if that factored into her decision at all, Heitkamp replied, “No, because when you’re making this decision, especially on a Supreme Court justice, there’s no do-overs.”In recent polls, Heitkamp trailed her opponent, Congressman Kevin Cramer, by double digits.Having someone always stand with Trump seems to be what some voters in North Dakota are looking for.“She voted ‘no’ on Kavanaugh; that was a big deal to me,” says one voter.But there were plenty who would say the opposite.“I really admired her for doing what was right in her heart, rather than what she was pressured to do,” says another voter. “So, I admire her independence on that.”Heitkamp hopes that come Tuesday she'll beat the odds and be elected to serve another term. 1346

NEW YORK CITY — Two U.S. marshals and a New York City police officer were injured in a shootout in the Bronx early Friday that left one suspect dead and another injured, law enforcement sources say.The New York City Fire Department (FDNY) said a report came in at around 5:30 a.m. ET about a shooting on Ely Avenue, near Edenwald Avenue in the Wakefield neighborhood of the Bronx.Aerial footage shows a large police presence in the area, including three ambulances.One marshal was shot in the arm and thigh and the second was shot in the leg, according to police. The NYPD detective injured his leg during the incident.The three law enforcement officials were transported to local hospitals for treatment, along with a suspect who sustained injuries to his head. It's not known if the suspect was suffering from gunshot wounds.Previous reporting indicated that the three law enforcement officers injured were all U.S. marshals.According to WHDH-TV in Boston, the suspect who was killed in the shootout is Andre K. Sterling, 35. He was wanted in connection with the shooting of a Massachusetts state trooper on Nov. 20. The state trooper survived that shooting, but Sterling escaped the scene. 1200

NEW YORK (AP) — Universal Music unveiled a previously unheard and unreleased song by the late Queen frontman Freddie Mercury.The record label announced the track, "Time Waits for No One," on Thursday. It was originally recorded in 1986 for the concept album of the musical "Time" with musician Dave Clark.A video to accompany the song was also released and includes unseen performance footage of Mercury. It was recorded in April 1986 at London's Dominion Theatre.Mercury died of AIDS-related pneumonia in 1991 at 45. He was the subject of the uber-successful film "Bohemian Rhapsody," which won actor Rami Malek an Academy Award.The film also won Oscars for best sound editing, best sound mixing and best film editing. 727
